Friends Of Frost* / 17 Minutes of Moosic
May 13, 2010, 10:26:15 AM
I've been away from all things forum related for about a year, to stop me from being distracted in the last leg of my degree. I just got finished with my composition portfolio and have posted it online for all to hear. It's very Frost*, Dream Theater, Rush influenced so I thought someone might get a kick out of it!

Plenty of Guitars and a few keyboard parts for good measure.

Ah, it may seem that way, but what i really know how to do is utilize the multiple takes function in Logic Pro  :D  Thanks ever so much though, I'm glad you liked it.

For fans of widdly guitar music. It took me all of an evening and today to write and record. Hope at least one person gets some fun out of it. Also, see if you can spot the subtle Frost reference in the middle. (I say reference, but I mean theft   )

Any one else as exited as me? (On a scale of 1 to 10, I'm on a good 9.8)

I'm a huge squarepusher fan, and frequently use the video of Alex and Tom playing together on youtube to illustrate how awesome grace notes are on the snare drum.

All Hail TBT!

Ask Frost* / Re: Request to put Toys on Frost's MySpace

QuoteI put it on my own, since they hadn't updated theirs...

Is Jem cool with that? You can pinch stuff off MySpace really easily. Mind you, we all know the Frost* revenue lies in the official band biscuits.

If i keep saying it, it will become true.

10.3 gig on a 120 gig (pah! more like 111 gig) MacBook. I'm looking to upgrade to a 500g, you can get this cloning software which copies everything over. Has anyone ever done this before?

I love it all, but if i had to pick (at the moment at least, it seems to change every listen)

You/I

Its just sublime, its a great little thing, but the actual sound of the thing. Its so pretty. Am I right in thinking thats Jem singing? Tingly stuff  :D

QuoteIs it JM?

I hope not, that would be terribly unfair. If it is then bravo, stellar playing, but it sounds like basses and Cellos to me too. Then again i wouldn't be at all surprised if he just happens to play them as well. Any word from the horses mouth?

...On EIMA? The start of Wonderland for example. Please tell me its some delicious attainable plugin, and not the result of a session with real musicians in a real studio. Oh, and bravo! Its outstanding, the whole thing, i have listened to it 9 times already and its still as moving as the first peek.
