Quote from: "EVP"Everything is in wav format. Not sure but I believe Logic does support broadcast wave format. They *should* import correctly. If not then I suppose you could always manually
line all those tracks up

Then again PT 8 is beautiful and it would be worth even getting an Mbox Mini to have around.
You could also export the tracks properly to bring into Logic.
I've had a look at the digidesign site, but I can't for the life of me work out how muck I'd need to spend. All I can find is ProTools upgrade packages, but I need the whole thing, not just an upgrade!

And do I have to buy some piece of their hardware? Seems to say that, but it's not too clear.

yeah you have to have an Mbox. that comes with the pro tools software. you need it to run pro tools. you could pay anything from around £100 to £20000 depending on what pro tools set up you go for, but it's well worth the investment. i promse i don't work for digidesign!!!

Quote from: "tomskerous"But where's the jeopardy, the personal struggle?

(I tried to get something like this commissioned by the BBC about two years ago, and came within a whisker. But it would have been very hard to keep the show entertaining with all that 'craft' floating about.)

There was a touch of what you're suggesting there in 'Fame Academy' - which was all round a lot more interesting thean X-Factor / Pop Idol.

Which explains why it got cancelled.

And I actually like Sinead Quinn more than anyone that's ever come out of X-factor

my personal fave is will young. fantastic

what does that even mean? :?
LOL
I guess it refers to all those one-use sounds that made pop hits 'catch your ear' but then couldn't be used again because their so distinctive. Perhaps like that 'stoppy-starty' guitar that Madonna used, or even ItBites' "Dumbry-umbry-ay-oh". Brilliant, ear-catching but can't be used again.

That's my guess anyway....  :D

or more fitting... mr blobby... barbie girl... crazy frog... need i go on...

well i have to say, to those who are 'dissillutioned' with the charts these days.... have you heard most pop music over the last decade??? on the majority it's been designed to appeal to kids of folk who don't know better... so x factor is a natural progression... however i don't mind it one bit.

hell i've even entered it this year cause i've been singing for the last 10 years locally, i've been told i'm pretty good. so why not let something like x factor get me further in the business. all's fair in love and war, and music is my love!

i sing karaoke so who cares if your singing other folks songs. i bet the artists are getting thier royalties it so everyone's a winner

if i want to listen to good music, i'll stick on my EIMA and chill.

Frost* / Re: Frost on Guitar Hero World Tour
December 31, 2008, 01:09:12 AM
Quote from: "Pedro"Guitar Hero turned up at the same as Little Big Planet so I've hardly touched GH yet. I just ground my way through Tomb Raider Underwhelmed, sorry, Underworld....which managed to reach extremes of brilliance and tedium within minutes of each other. I can't be bothered to play it again to collect everything.
So after a few more days in LBP fixing my readability problems I hope to get back to GH again....(unless I accidentally open Resistance2 in the meantime!).
I should say I was a bit daunted by the look of the GH editor at first glance though....

yeah hence my comment on the devotion bit....
