Not that the writing isn't impressive, but how the hell can one manage to mix such a song?!

Best post-Neal album for me. Brilliant!

So far it's been getting better with every album they did after Neal left. If they keep it up that way, I'm afraid for their next album.

But until then, this one will keep me very, very satisfied. :D

Quote from: "Jem"I've just ordered mine. Chatting to Nick the other week he said there's a whole "frost inspired" bit in one of the long songs. A compliment indeed! :D  :D

Very much so! I even heard some Dividing Line on one of the songs.

For me every SB album post-Neal, has been better than their previous. Let's hope they keep that up. :D

Quote from: "gr8gonzo"Yes, yes. No worries, no hurries. I can wait as long as necessary.

The new Spock's Beard (Limited Edition) had some bad batches discovered only after they'd already shipped a fair bunch of them. A flaw in some of the discs caused the last 20 seconds to skip.

It's a fantastic album though!

I had to Google him, but as soon as I saw MAPEX, I knew this was going to be alright.

Quote from: "RWA"Not that busy?! Are you kidding me?!
I mean, they sold out the place for sure (which is great) but we arrived at about 8 p.m. and there was no way to get into the actual room anymore. I've been to 013 many times between 2000 - 2003 and I always loved it but this time we couldn't even get into the room itself. Me and my friends have been to many MANY gigs and festivals and always know how to get around but we never experienced anything like this. We were about to leave when we talked our way in talking to one of the security people there leading use to left from the stage using the corridor. After that it was great but the concert was all ready on its way for 30 minutes.

Again, great gig but 013 really screwed this one up by selling more tickets then possible.
Nevertheless I was glad to be there. I saw TA over there in 2001 as well as the NM-Testimony gig in 2003 (or was that in 2002?) and this one was the best for sure. they frick'n rule!  8-)

That doesn't sound very pleasant! I really didn't notice anything of the sort. I got in at about 7:30PM and it was just a great evening from there on. I think I was just too focused on the music to see just how crowded it actually was.

I've been at 013 a few times as well. It's my favorite venue here in the Netherlands. I was there in 2001 with TA, and the Neal Morse gig too. Actually don't remember when exactly that was, other than a long time ago. I was 13 years old when I saw Transatlantic. That makes me feel kind of old/nostalgic.

Quote from: "RWA"It was great indeed..... once we were able to get in! They sell to many tickets for that place nowadays.... me and my friends couldn't see anything for the fist 30 minutes. Then we got directed to the left side of the stage using the corridor in front of the stage and everything was fine from then on.  :)

Portnoy OWNS!!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear that. Didn't find it that busy, even though it sold out.

I had a good view the entire evening. Even better on the second encore when a lot of people left already.

My throat still hurts from screaming and singing/shouting along though.

Yeah they did indeed. We wouldn't leave, and just kept on applauding like we did 9 years ago. We figured it worked then, it should work again now. And it did!

They got back on stage after about 5 minutes, and Mike mentioned that they'd never played Return of the Giant Hogweed live before, but they still pretty much nailed it!
