This is absolutely stunning Ron! Gods, just great stuff :D
You're propelling me back into lyric writing mode! I might just come up with something for this...

They released me and I'm currently enjoying sitting at home, though I still have to wait until the 14th of july for the remaining stitches to be removed. I have the stones in a little container, but making music is out of the question with them as they're too bloody small. I've thought about writing about them, but I find they're not worth the effort or honor. So, I've taken a big sticker and stuck it onto the container, but not before scribbling 'Bastards 2007 - 2009' on it.

Hopefully when I've got my recording rig sorted out I'll be able to record music again, I've got plenty of new demo's to work out. :)

And I'm back! Somewhat...

I'm writing this from the hospital, from a terminal coveniently hanging above my bed. I've been released and I'm now waiting for my dad to come pick me up. I've had surgery yesterday and I'm without my gall blatter now, from which the doctors removed 38 stones in total. So, I'm done with being sick, all I need to do is recover from the surgery and I'll be as good as the old Ghost! :)

Sorry for being very quiet lately, but having to wait for surgery and not having any available painkillers wore me down quite nastily...

Semi good news:

the doctors figured out what is causing my problems; gall stones.

Whereas it is uncovered, it doesn't mean it's the end of my problems. I'll probably be staying in the hospital during easter and, due to an infection, I can't have my gall blatter removed any sooner than in 6 weeks or after that.

I'm hoping the infection bows out sooner and that they can get me back on my feet again, because being unable to do anything bar from lying in bed and trying to eat properly again, as the past few weeks I've pretty much lost over 20 pounds. So, hiatus still in working order, though its days may be more limited than I anticipated.

Thank you all for your support and messages here :) It warms my heart every time I read it :)

I'll keep you guys and gals posted on this matter.

You might have noticed my absence on these forums. I've been in and out of the hospital lately and the doctors can't figure out what's troubling me. I'm writing this from a local terminal at the hospital, hoping that the CAT scan today found something. So far the x-rays, blood samples, urine samples, gastroscopy ( where they take a tube to look inside your stomach) and biopsy have not turned up anything. We only know I have an increase in white blood cells at the moment, which could mean I've got an inflammation of sorts after all.

Truth be told, we still don't know for sure.

I'll keep you guys informed, for now I'm off to try and get this whole thing out of my system. Even playing music is just impossible with all the pain :(

I'd agree that the guitars don't sound as they should. Melody wise it's a pretty decent tune, but the fuzz guitar solo just sounds out of place. Perhaps changing the sound to a more crunchy guitar solo effect with a bit of delay to thicken the sound.

Quote from: "Geetar"Listening now. Sorry to hear about the problems.

Which Arkane did you go for, by the way?

http://www.peterverspuy.nl/cgi-bin/x/16235.html

I chose that one. It'll be due in 2 weeks I reckon and will be replacing my Ibanez RG200. I'll be selling that one to fund the new Arkane.

Hi guys,

been a while since I posted on the forum, but due to personal life being a horrible bitch ( losing job in 3 months due to my employer not having the money to keep me on the team) and some stomach problems which have kept me from living normally for the past three months, everything except work and a bit of my personal life was put on hold.

But lo! and behold, Marooned in it's entirety. Instrumental still, as I still lack a good mic to record vocals with, but the basic outlines of the song are done. I'm currently busy selling old kit and replacing it with proper gear, with the first addition being a Boss GT-10 for my new Lag Arkane guitar that will come in two weeks time. I had to sell two guitars for it, but it was worth it.

Tell me what you think of the song and hope to be spending a bit more time on this forum again!

Gear Corner / Korg M50
December 13, 2008, 03:29:50 AM
Has anybody been able to test this workstation? It's being plugged like hell on the net and given the low prices ( I say low because it's actually cheaper than a Fantom X7) I'm kind of tempted to check it out.

Anyone?

I'm probably having a moment of retardedness, but can someone help me with this? I'm trying to figure out what the name of the software was and what it did exactly? I know Jem used it on the keyboard solo of BLM. anyone who can help me out?

Jem, Dec and TBE quietly singing ' It's the Jowitt wall of pain' while walking to the kitchen and seeing poor JJ passed out.

Then, Jem sitting in his car after the rehearsals are done, watching someone look for his car who had forgotten apparently where it was parked.

'You don't know where your car is, do you? You're looking around and you haven't got a CLUE where your car is!'

I'll look up more later.

It's pretty obvious that Simon Collins is a near carbon copy of his dad in the seventies, indeed with the receding hairline and the beard he's sporting.

Aye :) it's a brilliant piece of music. My brother the other day commented that he was glad to hear that PC could still play the drums!
