Ask Frost* / TPE Snowman
« on: July 05, 2010, 06:41:53 PM »
Have to say I'm truly loving the TPE version of 'Snowman', but have a couple of questions for either Jem, of those of you that were lucky enough to be there.

I'm guessing that the trusty loop station was deployed, but how much was looped 'live'  ?
Was only Jem 'present'  or were some of the harmonies that come in later the other guys ?

Other Bands / What Jowitt Did Next.................
« on: May 06, 2010, 06:16:47 PM » his old mates ARK for a new album and tour, including supporting Frost* at the end of the year - website is now up at http://

And to keep the Frost* links going, I think Tim from Darwin's Radio is playing the tubs!
See you at the Robin in September for the Album launch then!!!

This is genius - this guy has done the whole of DSOTM in 8-bit NES type format, kind of like the Moog Cookbook albums.
Great fun and entertaining.

Firstly, apologies if this isn't considered as Frost related - although given the sterling work he did for FrostFest I consider him part of our "family".
ANyway, over on his site http:// he has a nice announcement that he is going to be the drummer for a new Cirque De Soliel tour/production!!!!!!

Recognition for an absolute genius drummer, but alas makes it less likely I can see him at Drumfest 2010  :(

Still, nice to see they boy doing well.

Anyone else got this album yet ?? (Pedro can stand easy - just been over to the IB forum so I know you've made a purchase!!!)
Features Frost* links via JM and NDV contributing along with Gavin Harrison, John Beck and many others.
Only listened to it once so far but it's brilliant, almost Fish/Marillion-esque in places. Highly recommended.

As they say in all the best ads, if you only buy one album this year, buy The Philildelphia Experiment ;)  :!: . If you buy two, get this as well.
   :D

Other Bands / Vertical Horizon - Burning The Days
« on: October 10, 2009, 06:45:55 PM »
I was over at Neil Peart's website the other day (as you do) and saw an ad for an album by a band called Vertical Horizon to which Mr P has contributed some drumming and also lyrics on a couple of songs. So off I tootle and listen to a few song clips and am now the happy owner of 'Burning The Days'.

It's a cracking album, almost Porcupine Tree-eqsue in places. Would recommend a visit to their sites to see for yourselves http://

I LOVE the web!!!! :D

You also missed my personal favourites, the pool cue (slightly warped from being left up against the radiator for too long) and the peanut/bombay mix bowls (since the smoking ban there are no more weighty ashtrays to be had!!!!)

Frost* / Surely the concept for Frost* 3.....................

Heard a radio ad for them today and they could use some top quality soundscapes to liven up their campaign!!!! :D  :D  :D

Any Other Business / Some scary stats..................
« on: August 19, 2009, 07:04:49 PM »

Although it's really just a big advert there are some frankly quite scary stats in this vid regarding people's habits when it comes to this ol' web
(and now I'm adding to it by posting the link on here, doh!)

Ask Frost* / DT Gig CD's????
« on: June 09, 2009, 08:25:41 PM »
Tell us O mighty Creme de Custard (that's you Jem)
Will there be the oft mentioned gig CD's for the DT shows ? And if so, will us poor unfortunate blighters that can't make the gigs be able to purchase them via t'internet??

Announcements / So what could we get Jem to do...............
« on: February 18, 2009, 06:33:14 PM »

Josh Freese (LA session drummer for pretty much everything) is making his new album available with a variety of novel 'bonus packages' - I rather think he's extracting the michael from the bonus package genre, but it got me thinking what could/would the Biscuitmeister be tempted to do for money???

Other Bands / Kings X - Wolverhampton, Wed 21st Jan

Anyone from these parts going to Wolvo 2moro evening to see the boys???

I'll be there, possibly sporting a Frost* t-shirt (if I can find one that's reasonably clean!!!) Might see you there

Frost* / Biggest Disappointment with EIMA...............
« on: November 30, 2008, 05:09:27 PM »
No I'm not going to moan about the mix (which sounds fine to me) but rather the lack of one of the 'developmental' songs.

Having watched the DVD I want to know what happened to the Skiing song??? It was a bona fide crossover 'hit' and I'm gutted it didn't make the album................

(Or has Jem sold it to Simon Cowell foir the X Factor winner???) ;)  ;)  :P
