I finished the book a few days ago, and I thought it was quite good.  I will admit, I didn't see the end coming

I'm just giving the post a little bump because I just received the paperback version of the book from Amazon yesterday.  I've been reading it in between classes today and I think it's quite good.  I'll report back later when I get a bit deeper into the book.  It's promising so far!

Any Other Business / Re: Musical Cock-Ups
August 05, 2011, 10:02:47 AM
I saw Spock's Beard at their one stop North American tour last September.  During the set, Alan walked into his standing acoustic guitar an knocked it over.  It was all good, and the guys joked about it.  Nick said "It adds character marks!"

I too have had my share of cock ups.  I play drum kit at my school's pep band, and being the only person in the rhythm section, anything I do definitely gets noticed.  I played an entire song with a standard eighth-note hi hat rhythm, only to find out the song has a 16th note hi hat rhythm.  I've ended one beat before everyone else and have had other mess ups.

But it's all in good fun.

I hate to bring this old thread back up, but I want to listen to Andy's album, The Twitch, and I can't seems to listen to it on Last.fm.  Am I missing something?  Or is it no longer playable from the website? Is it possible to find it elsewhere?

Thanks!

Quote from: "El_Mayonnaise"Hard concrete walls + drums + ear drums = bad

That's basically it.  I only use them in that practice room (my garage)
when I'm performing outdoors or even in side arena settings, I am good to go without those doodahs. 8-)

Just updated my kit.
New hi-hat and crash.  Used my old hi-hat for a closed aux hat.  I feel a bit like TBE!

The Banana arrived this weekend, and after Seeing castironchecf's post, I saw it would be a hard act to follow.
My original intent was to take him on a mountain bike ride, but alas, he was too big to fit in my pack. (Indeed a Big Banana)
So i settled for a few random shots from around my apartment

Among Friends

With my collection of Frost* albums (Wasn't exactly easy to start collecting them this year, and being across the pond)
Also a few decorated Frosterisk cookies.

A proud Frostie*

And out on the balcony, enjoying so great sunny SoCal weather.

So whoever is next on the list, just let me know where to ship it to!

I be here, albeit a little late to the party.
I started playing when I was 9, I think, and have been playing now for ten years.  I got an old Premier kit from my cousin and have been pounding the crud out of it since.  I never had any lessons, so i'm self taught.  I am playing in my College's pep band as their drummer, among other instruments.

Quote from: "E.S."My fault.. didn't get the joke. That's what happens when you edit drum tracks all day and lose sight of the normal world. :o
You mean there's a normal world?
