So, It Bites and Frost* are playing at The Scala....
Where is that?
And where can I get tickets?

I'm interested but info is very hard to find..... even on The Merch desk.  :?

Frost*/Bites?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Bleeding hell.  :o
The thing is, the singer of my new band lives in London and I'm trying to find an excuse to visit. I might just have found it!

Quote from: "Pedro"Thanks Ron. :)

He arrived slightly knackered but still played a belter....once he'd plugged everything in properly (after the third song or so).

I hear what you say about Arena, they are firmly in the same boat as IQ in terms of output..."here's some more of the stuff you all love"...and I do love "Degrees"...but it is not that different from what came before. As I keep saying about this approach, there is nothing wrong with it, but it does test the attention span of folks who want variation.

I don't suppose there is any chance of you getting over here for December 16th?
What's Dec 16th?! I've been out of the loop for a while....  :)

Quote from: "JakeWorrell"I use 'The Unarchiver' on Mac and winrar on my PC. This doesn't answer your question at all.
Uhm.... thanks!

Don't break him, we need him on Sunday! ;)
He did well and as far as I could tell he isn't broken.  :)

The main fest for us (me, my wife, my oldest and dearest friend and his wife) was to have a great weekend.
We did!  8-)

Since I'm the only prog head of the bunch I compromised to only go and see the last 3 bands; Arena, Spock's Beard and Saga. The winner hands down was Spock's Beard. Ryo climbed one of his keyboard stand knocking down his Nord synth. Good advertising because the thing still worked afterwords! I have to admit the old stuff (with Neal) is still the best but I enjoyed my arse off with them. Apart from a great performance they always put up a great show. Arena was solid all though the keyboard kinda drowned in the overall sound. I have to say their music is starting to bore me a bit since it's been basically the same these last 15 years. Saga was rock solid and tight as hell but it's all a bit to slick for me. Nevertheless, SB delivered big time and I has a great weekend!  :)

Perhaps the funniest part of the weekend was the grouchy hotel owner. It was like Falty Towers in German. On Saturday he closed the bar and restaurant at 8 pm to change into his Hawaii shirt to go out. He sure as hell doesn't like Dutch people!

Quote from: "Mordwin"7-zip not available on the Mac? hmm, not official builds, but there are some... http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/19139/ez7z
Thanks for the link!  :)

WINZIP seems to be available for both PC and Mac. I reckon with Nick's advice this should work.
Let me try this first.

Quote from: "vocalnick"OSX can open & create ZIP files by default. Just double-click them to unpack, or select a bunch of files and then right-click (or option-click) and select "Compress xx items"

Excellent! Thanks a lot sir! This will save some serious mb's filled with dead air.  :)

I've been using WINRAR and ZIP to pack my files for years (sending big ass 24 bit wav files for collaborators) but so far they were all on PC. Now I'm working with 3 Mac guys. Question:

Does anybody know if there's software for this that works on both platforms? I couldn't find anything so far....

Thanks!  :)

Done - and good lyrics with meaning too - I'm not even sure Jon Anderson can explain Awaken!

Just be careful about your singer - Chris Squire could be listening
Thanks! Much appreciated! :)
This song has YES written all over it and we love it!
Next one will be very different I promise you....

Quote from: "RDante"This is one of those progressive rock songs that sounds better with each play. I love all the YES undertones and overtones! A classic, timeless, beautifully arranged song that should be on every prog lover's playlist!
We will have this on the sidebar of the blog as our Progressive Rock song of the week so you can come back and listen any time you like.   ENJOY!
