Top work chaps to all those involved.

Cap doffed in honour of this fine event - wonder if a tour of the new Cube will be one of the 'gifts'?

Oh silly me, getting all excited and unnecessary now!!! ]

A nice brew to calm me down I think - as you were!

Wot he said /

The setup is - Guitar - > Morley Power Wah (35GBP from eBay!) -> TU2 ->RC Booster ->AC2 ->RC2 - amp.

The amp is my trusty old 4 channel Rocktron Egnater TOL100 that's been 'tweaked'. I've replaced the front grill with something that allows air through and performed the TOS mod (tone shift) on channels 3 & 4. It's also biaised for 6L6's although again I'm thinking of changing back to EL34 for more "grit" or at least a different sound. This runs into the bottom 2x12" Framus cab loaded with Vintage 30's, closed back and no foam doughnuts.

The slave out of the amp runs into the G-Major 2 and into the Marshall 8008 (linear mode) and into the top cab which is the same Framus with Vintage 30's - except open back and foam doughnuts to distribute the sound!

Apart from the foot pedals it's all MIDI switched from the RJM Mastermind (including the amp) which is the best midi pedal I've ever used! It'll sound better when I get the chance to program up some patches!

So essentially two amps/rigs in one!

Had my first rehearsal with the new band last night and snagged these poor mobile shots of the rig.

https://plus.google.com/u/0/11322634122 ... Q3s3tcGmJT

It's a work in progress but essentially a compact(ish) Wet/Dry rig. I hope to go stereo one day but am concentrating on just playing the damn guitar at the moment!

Quote from: "James_S"I'm fine, thanks. Busy at the day job, and Eden is no more - musical differences and all that.

That's funny - my last band split due to musical similarities! We all wanted to play the same stuff but nobody could be bothered to organise it. Just as well got a new gig starting next week!

Quote from: "James_S"Anyway, enough of that - did you know that the NRE 1GS7B is a low-emissions diesel switcher locomotive built by National Railway Equipment. It is powered by a single Cummins QSK19C I6 engine which develops a total power output of 700 horsepower (522 kW). There have been seven 1GS7B locomotives produced to date, all manufactured at NREC's Mount Vernon shops in Southern Illinois. It's also the only current single-engine switcher marketed in NRE's N-ViroMotive catalog.

Fascinating. Whilst researching Air Raid Siren note frequencies some years ago (we were covering War Pigs and I wanted to recreate the intro) I discovered this gem of a forum! Have fun finding the siren! http://airraidsirens.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4142

Sorry I'm late to this marvellous shin-dig, I know there's really no excuse but hopefully this large bottle of bubbly will compensate. Now, where's m' pipe?

I know you!

Strangely, you know me too! :)

Ah Mr Eden, I mean Screamington! How the devil?

Quote from: "Mooncat"I'm guessing you mean the EP that was released for the Dream Theater support dates ?

If so they are pretty rare, dunno if anyone on here has any spares, if not, it's off to the 'bay

Checked the 'bay - have you ever tried searching for Frost* ! Nothing so far but will keep trying!

Quote from: "Mikey"Do you want the tracks or the actual album?
If you want the tracks, PM me with your e-mail address.

Both ideally! I believe in supporting bands/music that I really like so while the tracks would be splendid, the physical mejia would be better. For completeness too, having gotten into F* at this late stage I have a penance to serve!

Quote from: "RobRideout"@brizzlerocker Did you have any particular songs in mind? Trying to get a different lineup on all the tunes so they all have a different sound :)

Well as my nom-de-plume would suggest I'm quite partial to a spot of rock! Brighton, Scarborough and the guitar variety too. Punk, Pop, Classic, Alternative - I loves em all! So I shall fire up a Logic session and feel free to use me on the bits you need! I suggest that songs you want a completely different sound & feel on use me! I've got a nice acoustic too but like you I'm not much for finger-stylee!

Frost* / Tour Album - Fanboi Question!
October 26, 2011, 03:58:18 PM
I appreciate this is hideously fan-boy-esque but having obtained Milliontown, EIMA and TPE I'm hooked!

What are the chances of getting hold of the 2008 tour album? Does anyone have one they'd be willing to sell?

Thanks in advance

Thank you all for such a warm welcome! Gutted I can't make the gig in Dec but I shall be following progress on the new album closely! The Philly Experiment is due to arrive today! *squeeeee*

Quote from: "RacingHippo"Bubbly tea? How peculiar!
Welcome aboard

Indeed it is, the result of a mixup between the old Soda siphon and kettle, possibly the result of too many sherberts the night before. Quite passable once you get used to it. My old band decided quite early on that tea was the most Rock 'N Roll of drinks as it was always consumed in large quantities at our gatherings, often preferred over beer!

Quote from: "rogerg"welcome! what kind of biscuit would you like with the bubbly?

Err - sponge fingers would go I think! I prefer Fig Rolls with my whisky and my Dad has a liking of Ginger nuts with his red wine. I work for a wine company so I ought to be able to find out what biscuit goes with what!

Quote from: "johninblack"Welcome, did you bring chocolate hob nobs?

Plain or milk, and don't crush the Jammy Dodgers while you decide!  ;)

Quote from: "MikeEvs"Welcome glad you found the place ok :)
Thank you sir! and my compliments on your Joe Bonamassa shots, quite sublime! I shall be looking you up on Flickr!
