'74 was a good year for prog,
Pampered menial (Pavlov's Dog)?
You could go and see Rick
Or the Lamb if you're quick,
And Relayer could leave you agog.

There was an old geezer from Surrey,

So we're here at the start of the year,
But not 1974, I fear...
When you'd just been born?
Does that make you forlorn?
No, it means I'm allowed to drink beer.

Alas for my typo, discovered too late. It was quoted before noted. Must have been fate.

Frost* did well in Prog's Reader awards,
Thanks in large part to Godfrey's keyboards;
With Blunders-a-banging
Don't leave Mitchell a-hanging
When the King takes the stage, we applauds.

Please forgive, and just call it poetic,

A cheeky announcement from Frost*
Will please those who had fingers crossed
You and Mikey are funny!
Like Daff and Bugs Bunny,
And the point of the lim'rick was lost.

Its forty degrees here in Oz,

So... we got a piano a few months ago. A beautiful Yamaha grand now lives in my lounge, to my utter astonishment. The kids started plonking away on it, and adamantly did not want me to show them anything. Imagine my surprise walking into the house hearing Mr 8 year old playing what was recognisably an attempt at Hyperventilate! Not exactly right, but I knew exactly what he was attempting. He had even enlisted Ms 5 Year old sister to "play this low note" because he couldn't get to it in time, but he felt it should be there.

Now Ms 5YO has a boom box and a selection of CDs she requested (Ayreon, Frost, Steven Wilson, etc) but Milliontown and Falling Satellites are pride of place. In fact the awful cacophony from yesterday turned out to be a music war where both kids were in their own bedrooms attempting to drown each other out with Milliontown (about 2 minutes out of sync).

So Jem, you are inspiring a new generation of kids in the same way Floyd, Zeppelin and Yes inspired me as a youngster :)

Thanks guv.

The only ways Blunders could be considered an average drummer are in things like height, age, weight and gender.

Autocorrect and predictive text can come out with some strange stuff, sometimes better than what passes for lyrics in a lot of commercial music.. Here is what it makes up from Frost... All I chose was the occasional secondary offering and where to put the carriage returns:

Frosted the best of the day before
I don't think that I have a great way of the day
The day before I get a follow back on my way
I'm at a time when you are so much better

I'm so excited to be the first
I'm at a time when you are so cute
The only thing that would make me feel better
The only way you can get it right

(Keyboard mash autocorrect section:)

Remember nights like his mind
By knowing we join us
See just how easy it is
Oh my word

Ha, that went kind of Jon Anderson there.

Many sads... After waiting patiently for my preorder it arrived today with 1 cd and Tshirt package instead of the 2 that were ordered (and paid for). Since I am seeing the friend I ordered with tomorrow, I kinda need to pass his on, leaving me Frost***less for longer. I realise "stuff happens", but it is disappointing none the less. :(

The Australian ones were sent out early, weren't they? So we could all have a listen together? And I wouldn't have to sit hear and read all the rave reviews while I sit here and sadly watch the mailbox for my preorder? Guys?

@Rook : It has to have five syllables !!!
Clearly you need TA to teach you what limericks are :-)

You can have as many syllables as you want,
Until a french speaker cries "..ils en sont?",
Because its all about rhythm,
And metric division,
And an opportunity for linguistic Grand Pont.
