What a total bargain Frost* was at the Peel!

Agreed - there's no free biscuits at Hampton Court, plus a reasonable chance of getting raining on

Had to think about this one before buying my ticket and posting this one, but Rick's website recently announced that he'd be performing the "Six Wives" at Hampton Court in early May.

Follow the link if you're interested:

I know he's not everyone's favourite keyboard player and the tickets look a bit pricey, but he's the reason that I got into "prog" in the first place, and when I met him a few years ago he was a top bloke.  So I'm happy to top up his pension.

Without wanting to be different....

Best concert was Queen + Paul Rodgers (twice at the O2) - having seen Queen with Freddie back in the 70's I was really suspicious about PR, but he did a great job.  Their album was patchy, but then I struggle to name a Queen album that wasn't.

Best albums are curiously all rooted in this forum - nobody's mentioned Ghost Circus "Across the Line" yet.  Also Unifaun - great to hear someone honestly respect Genesis.
On the non-prog side, RWA put me onto Dannielle DeAndrea/Gaha and the "Leaving the Ozone" that she sang on keeps getting replayed

When Jem went into "Fly on the Windshield" I had a vague hope that they'd carry on and do the whole Lamb.  Now that would have been something...

Could happily have enjoyed a few more encores to bring in WTN, DDD and FD, but then there'd be nothing left..

And echo the "well done" to the Frostie on guest vocals - if he hasn't got a band then he should find one.  Jem - Don't suppose there's a rehersal recording floating around is there?

have to say I love listening to the instrumentals as much as the main tracks ... Thanks Jem what a spankingly great idea !

Here Hear.  Just listened to them for the first time.  Always a bit wary of instrumentals, but these work brilliantly having heard the full thing first.  Wonder if other artists could get away with it, or would this show the lack of depth in some things around?

It arrived this morning - the Frostie car now comes complete with it's window cling.

Thank you everyone and and a special message for TLD - I hope your hair can now start growing back - the bald look might be OK for JJJ but......

Hang on - doesn't that mean that we've lost 250 on the transition?

Better ask RWA to help them "Across the Line"?

Did Jem mention a high profile support act?

Frost* / Re: If you ordered EIMA from Classic RokShop...

Order number 1846 - no sign in deepest darkest Kent yet.  And Rokshop charged the signed edition at 16 rather than 14.

Pm'd The Luscious Debs.
Good job my emusic tank has just been re-filled...

Plus it's going to be a frosty weekend - I need that Beanie hat!!!!!!!!!

I shall come out of this a stronger person..... or a gibbering wreck....

Okay at the moment Frost* on is sitting very well in the Hard Rock & Metal at #8. Also its sitting at # 49 at Rock, and the I'm very perplexed about this one but its sitting at # 9 in Rap & Hip Hop.

Not sure what to think about that last one. Jem and the boys don't strike me as the gangster type. I mean it would be funny to hear one of them say they're going out for some "bitches and hoes"

Emusic have also mixed Frost* up with Kid Frost...
Frost -- originally known as Kid Frost -- was a pioneer in the field of Latin hip-hop, cutting some of its very first records and helping to bring exposure to other bilingual MCs. Frost was born Arturo Molina Jr. on May 31, 1964; while he spent some time with his family on military bases in Guam and Germany, he was raised primarily in East L.A. He started rapping in 1982, and became an accomplished breakdancer as well, joining the top-notch Uncle Jamm's Army crew. He adopted the name Kid Frost in tribute to Ice-T,

You get the picture?
