Looks good Bert, thanks :)
Indeed, wonder how long it'll take me to download it in Spain?
Can you arrange a carrier pigeon?

2 days & 17 minutes, thats superfast Spanish broadband, & the fact I forgot to set the download going.

As usual Bert, a simply stupendously stunning selection.
I bet you impressed many a lady in the past with your mix tapes!  :D

Modesty does not permit me to confirm or deny  :)

I actually do these with a couple of women in mind. They don't know that though  :D  :D

Cheers for your kind comments; Made me feel proper made up.

Pip Pip !

Iíve been thoroughly inspired by the Olympics in this Green and Pleasant Land. So inspired in fact, that I stopped doing what I was doing and completely remodeled this show to at least include some of the stuff we heard at the fantastic opening Ceremony !!

So, mixed in with a mix of old and new, classic prog and rock are some tracks directly inspired by the aforementioned and thereís a special Olympic sequence right at the end that I hope will stir some memories for you.

Alongside that we have some new things by Saga, Rush, Syd Arthur, The Treatment, Von Hertzen Brothers, District97, Big Big Train, Panic Room as well as the first appearance on this show of North Atlantic Oscillation and the brilliant Public Service Broadcasting.

All this excitement is tinged with great sadness as a giant of hard rock, Jon Lord, passed away as I was putting this show together. So Iíve also included a sequence of tracks in his memory. RIP Jon.

Anyway, stream or download this podcast from http://www.deadnobodies.net/?p=112

Or go to http://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/dead ... d438034600 and download from there.

See you next time, when I hope our very own, James Hendry will deign to visit us with a full and frank round-up of Celebr8. Anyone remember that ? I mean, since then, the Queen has jumped out of a helicopter !!

Bertxx

We're trying to get a map together of where people came from to get to Celebr8.

Here it is if you'd like to pin your location (just press edit and drag the blue pin or your bespoke pin to your location)

https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msa=0&m ... 19&vpsrc=1

Anyone who hasn't got a Google account and would like a pin, just let me know via PM or email (obv I only need your hometown)  ;D

Also, if you have any pics or stories, reviews or video that you'd like to share, I'll be setting up a section of the Channel Celebr8 section of the website to publish these  Doesn't matter if they'r not "pro" it's the feeling that counts. All submissions will be credited.

Hope you're already getitng excited about 16/12. And if you've never seen It Bites, then you're in for a treat. They are absolutely sensational live !

John Beck is (one of) Jem's fave ever keyboard players and a big influence, so you have to check it out just for that. He's a totally brilliant player.

Hey, thanks for posting this !!

I completely forgot to add it to Facebook and come over here and publicise it. I helped out with Celebr8 and it all got a bit tight timewise at the end of last week so in my panic, I forgot to tell anyone I'd recorded it and released it DOH !!   ,

So thanks for the post !! :D

Hope you enjoy. Next episode will be with James Hendry of this Parish and our review of the festival. I'm also currently writing my thrilling expose of "Behind the Scenes at Celebr8"  ;)   :D

I don't think he was, but I famously tend to miss such things at gigs.

Steven Willson was there on Saturday but not, I believe, on Sunday.

If he was there than he made a bloody good job of hiding himself away.

SW was there to review IQ for CRPP on Sat.

Hello everybobdypeeps,

Well, you've heard Jem's awesome jingle I guess ? Thanks to Pedder's for brokering the multimillion $ deal between us to land that one !

Now you've heard it, of course, you'll be rushing to buy your tickets from http://www.themerchdesk.com and checking out the website at http://www.celebr8prog.com for news and interviews etc. We've added an interview with Andy Tillison of The Tangent - more interviews to come. There will also be a flurry of Celebr8 shows from various podcasters too as we get nearer.

Also on the website is Your Guide to Cleebr8 featuring that cheeky pair, Twang and Simon "Tinyfish" Godfrey. Check it out for all the critical Cleebr8 info at http://www.celebr8prog.com/Celebr8_Home.html

Really now, what festival gives you more ? It's own theme tune, interviews with the stars, videos, cool idents and jingles and a top top line up.
