It's rather spiffing is it not? A lovely way to lead in to progmas!

So,the Carlisle gig is almost upon us. Who will be there?
Me and Mrs M will alight around noon and thence sally forth for luncheon. And maybe liquid refreshment?
Any other persons of a Frost* persuasion in town?

Not long now until the first gig.....

Me and Mrs M will be venturing out to a few of these. Who's going to what?
Looking forward to this one and hearing a bit more of the new stuff ( which sounds damn good so far!)

Well...just about recovered enough to type!

What an incredible weekend. Every time they seem to surpass the previous one somehow.

Fabulous music and three fabulous gigs. The crowd seemed to find extra energy from somewhere, especially on the Saturday night I thought. Although the Friday gig was shorter ..'Holidays in Eden' plus encores, the Saturday and Sunday gigs were both 3 hours. I was knackered just standing there so the chaps probably need a good lie down somewhere I would imagine!

I liked the 'A to Z' idea...some choices were unusual but it worked well. Jigsaw was a surprise, as was Psuedo Silk Kimono and I loved the 'Zeparated Out' section...a good way around the Z problem with Black Dog segued into Separated Out and a touch of Kashmir thrown in....marvellous.

Back to reality now...always hard after any great gig but more so after a weekend of them.

If you can get to the next one do so!

It was a great gig in Manchester...despite the low attendance!

Now then...Touchstone? Beer festival? Hmm this has to be done!

So far....Touchstone (Manchester 3rd March), Marillion weekend (24th March onwards),Rush (Dublin 12th, Manchester 19th and Newcastle 21st -  yes it was expensive!).

My credit card melted after that little lot but may just be revived for some It Bites gigs!

Our party of six (inc myself and Mrs M) will also be there! We have been to both of the weekends in the Netherlands and also the last UK one in Minehead...although the music is always superb I must say the accommodation in Port Zeelande is far superior!

Anyway...I shall be wearing a Frost* t-shirt at various times so if anyone spots me (6ft ish, shaven head...err...and not as bad as that sounds) please say hello! Or maybe 'What Ho!' would be more appropriate!

I actually spotted myself on the latest DVD from the last weekend wearing said Frost* t-shirt on the Sunday night...a little bit of Frost* gets everywhere!

Last time round we drove down to Bruges on the Saturday...a great day out! This time we are coming in that way...

Looking forward to it...see you there!

Quote from: "rogerg"
Tall Ships is a desert island disc for me, and (as Pedro says) Kino - Picture close behind.  and you should get The Urbane, too, for more JM goodness.

Roger & Pedro...couldn't agree more. Definitely a desert island disc for me. One of the albums of the last decade and IMHO Kino's 'Picture' is neck and neck. I would also recommend exploring the (all too slim) IB back catalogue if for no other reason than 'Once around the World' which is another album of staggering awesomeness  :D

In a way I wish I could discover them all over again...

I agree...BBC 4 has to be my fave channel. Lots of good music (as mentioned above) and some really cracking documentary stuff...keeps the old brain cells working...!

As 2011 fast approaches,
We'll all soon wish we were roaches
In the ashtray of life,
we deal with our strife,
and wait as the Reaper approaches

Thanks chaps!

Twas a lovely Birthday, spent working my way through various forms of alcoholic beverage and food and ending up with some lovely cheese (and biscuits of course!)

As you do at Xmas....and doubly so in my case.

It's been a great year Frost*-wise and hopefully we'll meet up again somewhere in 2011.

Oh and Roger...your Touchstone guest appearance was incredible!
