Well, we did get Thunder Frog (my Newphews Unofficial-Official little league baseball name btw...) maybe we could luck out and have a bonus segment about Space Cats?

Jem, I must say...I support you on your secondary job of simply looking at Michelle Ryan all day - Truly a noble endeavor!  If you look in the dictionary for the word "sizzle," it has her as a reference.  Added plus hee is the global bandwidth will give me time to gawk at Megan Fox, so I thank you kindly, good Sir.

As a fan, thanks for letting us take a peek inside your brain, I think I speak for all in wishing your brain good recovery from all the poking.  Really, that gray matter could slip out of your ear whilst sleeping, at the very least wear a little swim-cap, protect those flee-ing brain cells!

Bottom line: Enjoy living your life, because no one else is going to live it for you...unless you are Bruce Willis.

Toys / The Forget You Song....
July 29, 2009, 03:16:53 AM
I feel like such a weenie for posting this!  I was at RoSFest, and I have browsed through the Toys and other sections for any mp3 of this tune...maybe I'm too tired, or maybe I'm just missing it!

I would love to have that song to stick on my MP3-MUSIC-TYPE-DEVICE if at all possible...does anyone have any leads?  I'd go ahead and grab the live CD, but sadly I have no clue how to translate pounds to American dollars (and I leave in about 10 days!)  Any help is always appreciated; I have the chorus stuck in my head, and me singing it to people sounds silly whilst saying "its good dammit!" doesn't quite do it justice!  Its hard to sing a melody, describe what you remember as the instrumental parts, and actually say "its good dammit!"

Ahem, I digress...thanks in advance if anyone can help!

Wow, that is a great sounding set list!  I keep seeing The Other Me crop up, and I think that might be a little Jem fav like Snowman...one of those songs that might evolve every time you hear it (this is a good thing!!!)

Sad to read the bit reminding us that this was in all likelihood Andy's last gig, but it is cool to hear he did it my melting people's faces off

Keep those reviews (youtubies, go!) coming!

Very sad to see Sir JJ go, he was a very nice guy, and was one hell of a bassist!  I think this is the part where we all thank him for the great music, and wish him well!

I'm glad someone got to show Snowman 3.0, I was having a wicked hard time trying to explain how Jem managed to clone himself lol^^

Quote from: "gr8gonzo"And, Mirror - What gave you the impression it was anything but a comedy show?  :D

Lol, you have a good point there, sir!  I guess that is part of the whole Frost appeal - Its kind of like Monty Python's Flying Musicians :)

I need to stop posting, I rather enjoy being a crumb :o

Quote from: "catherine"Thanks, gr8gonzo.

I hardly dare ask - but the question that I think will be on everyone's lips is: did the drummer play the oboe solo in Milliontown?

Yes!  I was rather funny too, Nick came over, played the little bit, and gave Sir Jem of Godfrey a big old hug :)  It was one of the many really cool moments of the gig, and like gr8gonzo said, thank goodness it was recorded for posterity!

I'm looking around youtube for those damn damn member intros - honestly I never laughed that much at a non-comedy show!

Quote from: "Mirror"Nick's vox was a bit low at times

This is an interesting tidbit of info. So, he not worked up the pretty tough drumparts BUT also helped on backing vocals? I already knew he was very talented (just listen to the early Spock's Beard records and I respect him very much for delivering the baby Kevin Gilbert couldn't i.e. Shaming Of The True) but man, this guy is just too talented.

If talent were people, Nick would be China.  Actually that's one of the things I was thinking about watching that show - that could have been simply the most talented group I've ever seen!

As to the low vox thingie, it might have just been where I was, I wasn't knocking anything at all :)  I think he might have been going falsetto instead of belting some of the harmonies out, maybe that's what I heard.  I've probably just been listening to too much Rewiring Genesis  :)

...and I'm still cracking up thinking about those band member intros!

Sadly I refuse to tweet, I leave that to the birds :(

I won't go too much into the mix - I thought it was fine..Nick's vox was a bit low at times, one of Jem's boards was a little low, but that is like me peeing on a Picasso!  Honestly iI can't knock anything from that set, it was simply brilliant.  I really want to see that Snowman 3.0 rendition again...no spoilers!

I don't want to be that "jerk guy" who posts too much - all I can say is the DVD is going to be amazing, and I count myself as blessed for being there.  Magic.  That is the one word to describe it.  Magic.

ps...I did yelll "You'r a lion!!" at some point - noone seemed to get the obscure reference.  Hopefully the faithful got the joke lol

 <---this is what my eyes look like...it was that good!

I live in NJ, so it was a measly 185 mile journey to and fro, and there was no way I was going to pass up the chance to see this show!  There were too many amazing moments to even get into...the new song (name escapes me due to tiredness,) the band member theme songs which made me nearly pee my pants, Nick filling in and making it sound like they played together for years, Snowman 3.0 (still trying to figure out how Jem cloned himself, well done, mate!)

Beyond the music itself, I just need to say it.  It is AWESOME to see gifted musicians having a good time.  There was just a feeling of down to Earthness, if that's a word.  Bravo to Frost, and the faithful fans I was lucky enough to meet :)  I recognized Rogerg from the avatar, so I had to say hi lol :p  And, a huge thank you to Gr8gonzo for taking pics with my phone!  You did a great job, I'm sorry my goofy phone had horrible focus issues.  I don't have Photoshop or anything on this PC, so I will have to share a couple semi-fuzzy-shiny-eyed pics.  Hopefully I can make them a little nicer in a few days - but I have a funny feeling we'll have more picture goodness to come!

I'm not sure if there is a way to hide the images here to save your screens from exploding, so I'm just going to plop them in...enjoy!

Yes, they tore the roof off the place!

Me and NDV (I'm taller than him, but his hair makes us even)

I apologize again for the quality...but here's Frost, and Frosties!

Just a couple with me, pretty much baffled by the whole thing...I do believe Sir Jem was going for the "Epic pointing pose" on these

That's about it for now till I clean up the images - Hope all have a safe trip home!

...Sweet merciful crap!

I was already planning on going to this, being how its just a state to the West of me here in lovely New Jersey - But, wow!  I'm a big SB fan, and subsequently a NDV fan....this is going to be an epic gig!

As for having chops, no doubt he has them - I remember he sat in with Fates Warning at a show near me, and tore it up!  Also, I was lucky enough to meet him, and he's a totally down to Earth chap :)

You couldn't have picked a better sit-in Frostie, Jem, well met!!!
