I started a big Facebook conversation with my buds "GROUPED FROST* ORDER, WHO WANTS TO SHARE SHIPPING?"
(yep we're all poor haha)

Will pre-order as soon as they've all answered.

Gigs / Frost gigs June 2016!!!
March 10, 2016, 10:13:32 PM
I might attend my first Frost* gigs in June ! Still unsure about it, it will be quite a busy month for me as I'll be moving from Paris to Australia (which is pretty much the other side of the world) the following week-end ;-)
But it would be a shame to miss what could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity don't you think ?
Waiting for a buddy to answer me and I could do both in a raw :-)

RIP George Martin. He did a lot for music. I think everything would have been different without the Beatles.

Toehider is my favourite prog band ever (sorry Jem), I might talk a bit about it :-)
It's quite a one-man-band, with session musicians for the gigs.
Michael Mills does everything - writing, playing all instruments unless specified, releasing stupid videos on Facebook that could rivalise with most Frost* reports  ;) and tweeting the most lame jokes you've ever read on Twitter.

Yay, so many things happened since those messages were posted.
First things first, Gareth, a Frost*ie which has also played keys in Toehider's The Most Popular Girl in School, has posted this (he's posted this before he played keys in that song, actually :P) :

I feel I owe it to you kind frosties to introduce you to my friend Mike Mills and his Toehider project! He's an insanely talented and prolific dude hailing from Melbourne, Australia, and for the past year he's released one E.P per month, for 12 months. He's just finished the project today with a 19 minute song I'm listening to for the first time now.
The beauty of it is that every E.P is in a drastically different style than the previous one, and it ranges from acoustic-folk to punk rock to some pretty complex prog stuff.

So If you like literal "progressive" all-encompassing music, please do check it out: <!-- m -->http://www.toehider.com/12in12/<!-- m -->
Most of it is available for streaming on the website.

Enjoy!

After releasing those 12 EPs in 12 months (12 in 12 project), Mike Mills released an album called To Hide Her in which half of the songs comes from a project called 1 in 1 (1 EP in 1 week !!!) and eventually allowed himself to breathe.

2008 : Toe Hider EP
2009-2010 : 12 in 12 project
2011 : To Hide Her (includes the 1 in 1 project)
2012 : Children of the Sun part 2, cartoon themes
2013 : lead vocalist on Arjen Lucassen's project Ayreon - The Theory of Everything.
2014 : randomly decided to cover Kate Bush's Wuthering Heights - 600 000 views on Youtube
2014 : What Kind of Creature Am I? album
2015 : played 5 lives on youtube called "Open Mike Night" where he played acoustic covers of songs from Toehider, Ayreon or other bands - 100% of the songs were requests (First four, fifth)
2015 : Mainly Songs About Robots EP with Vinny Appice on drums
2015 : He played two parts (why not?) : Rage and the Father on Ayreon's live performance of The Human Equation : The Theater Equation

And there's more to come.
Well that's hours of new material to discover :-)

If I could choose only one you'd have to listen to decide whether you wanna check the whole thing out or not, I would say Done and Dusted because it's the one which is the more likely to please a Frost*ie.
Personnally, I really love them all but I was gobsmacked by his cover of The Fairy Feller's Master Stroke that has been shared by a very happy Brian May himself.

Ah, the nice one is cool too ! :-)
I'll be more creative and will find one that hasn't been used by anyone yet... later :-)

Simon & Garfunkel's Scarborough Fair
and
Jimmy Eat World's Disintegration

Both would be very very different if transposed to a Frost* wave and I think they could be glorious.
