Frost* / Some footage from Wath
June 29, 2016, 01:28:37 AM
Camera had trouble coping with the volume but you get the gist. John's guitar/amp was playing up in Numbers.

Closer to the sun. There is some more morse code towards the end. What cryptic message do you think Jem has included this time?
"Bring your big bananas?"
"What's my favourite biscuit?"
"Take that you Hobbit Bothering Proggers"

As some of you may know Cameron has been rather ill recently but now seems a lot better. No drumming or guitars either although later we are going to put some guitar on one of his Frost* inspired tracks.
This is based on the few clips of 1976 that Jem revealed on Frost Reports and the EIMA DVD.
It is all Fruity Loops based and the plan is real drums, guitar and bass will be put on it.

Friends Of Frost* / The Boys Secret Song

The plan is to probably put some real drums and guitars on this when he feels a bit better but has done this over the weekend.

Friends Of Frost* / The Boys Frost*'s 1976 project

A few weeks ago I suggested to Cameron that it might be a laugh to mess about with the bits of the unused track 1976. He listened to the menu music off the EIMA DVD and there are some bits on the Frost* reports too. This is what he has done so far in Guitar Pro 6 using the included sounds although it can convert to midi if we wanted to pursue it further. Hyperventilate riff in there too as is Pocket Sun drum part.

Quite surprised to see John play a Les Paul  on the new track "Signs" at Celebr8.3. Not a Gibson though but a Vintage V100 Icon 'Lemon Drop' (modelled on the Peter Green guitar) dropped into "metal tuning."

Nice choice though as I have one too although mine is reliced a lot more.

Interesting choice and a lovely guitar as it has an out of phase neck pickup and combining both gives you quite an interesting sound option. Very thin and percussive.
Wonder if it will make more appearances?

Frost* / Website hacked again?

The site seems very devoid of anything again.

As Queen sang
"I want it all. I want it now!"

Would make the ideal Christmas present so crack on Godfrey.  ;)

Friends Of Frost* / A couple of tracks of Camerons
August 04, 2013, 01:18:45 PM
Quite a few of you know Cameron. His first gig was Frost* when he was either 11 or 12  and he has been to plenty since, age limits permitting.
Since then he has been writing his own material, learning to play any instrument you put in front of him, and recording a lot of it.
There are probably 20 recordings from then till now. He has finally agreed to let me post a couple of ideas up. One is very old and an experiment in recording and using samples, the other is from early last year and we are going to redo it shortly. He is also starting to write other material for the band he has formed with two school mates. Anyway here goes. Enjoy.

Frost* / Andy Edwards Drum/Cymbal demo
April 05, 2013, 08:31:41 PM
Both myself and Cameron had a great night watching three talented guys showing off their talents and demoing the new range of Dreams Cymbals. All organised by Simon from Slave To The Beat in Hull. A top night was had by all. Andy obviously being the highlight. He played a few bits and bobs, some mash up mixes, some educational stuff and a question and answer section.
He was playing a new Tama kit he had just got that day. Very nice it was too. Any drummers out there have a look at these Dream Cymbals. They sounded awesome. I'm no drummer but I love crisp clear cymbal sounds. Anyway I am waffling.

Andy asked if there were any Frost* fans in the crowd and said he knew there was one, he had seen the Frost* "They're Great" shirt so I pointed out there were two as Cameron was sat next to me. He said he searched high and low round the house for Milliontown and couldn't find the CD so had to order one from Amazon. I was going to point out the error of his ways and how The Merch Desk could have solved all his needs but thought better of it. Anyway he kicked off with Hyperventilate!
Apologies for my preparation error. I forgot to recharge the camera batteries. One was dead and the other not far off. Fired up in high definition for this section and the meter went straight to red so this is as much as I dared to film.

Later he played Pocket Son. By now I had knocked the resolution down to use less power and hopefully film more. This is most of Pocket Son. Next year there will be another show too. Bonus!...................Batteries are on charge ;)

Frost* / Banana on Dvd?
December 28, 2012, 12:55:20 PM
I know this is very last minute as it only came to me in a fit of Progflu suffering last night but it would be very funny if the Banana could appear on the DVD. Surely they are going to play "That Song" .
Anyone know if we have time to recover said Banana and get him a pass for the shoot?
Maybe Blunders could take him in, after all he has signed it!

Frost* / Drummists, Toys Drum Score needed.
December 14, 2012, 06:26:39 PM
Now then chaps. Cameron, who some of you may know has been asked to do a drum performance for school. His chosen song Toys. The problem is they won't let him without the drum part as a music score (Not Tab).
I thought of asking Sir Jemfrey or Blunders, but first i thought it best to try the Frosties as i hear there may be some drummists here. ;)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cameron would have asked himself but he has forgotten his logon. Kids eh!

Frost* / New Frost* Logo - Anyone Got Hi-res copy?
October 06, 2012, 06:51:50 PM
Could do with a high resolution copy of the new logo. Are there any floating about?
Its for a 2011-2012 Frost* Big Banana World Tour Shirt.
Not sure the one on here is clear enough so might go back to plan two which is the old one. Got plenty of those.

Frost* / Jem is writing a new Frost* track!
August 24, 2011, 11:53:18 AM
From Jems Twitter
"Ravishing day! Woke up this morning with a new Frost song in my head called "System". Killer riff. I think it's an instrumental."

Today just got better!

Don't you love school holidays, spur of the moment job Cameron decided to finally do our first proper recording at home.
He played everything, worked out what to play etc. I just wired everything up and roughly mixed and mastered the end result. Hope you like it, i think its not bad for something recorded over 2 hours on a wing and a prayer!
Cameron is proud to present "The Forget You Song" instrumental.
