We were bang in front of Nathan at Wath and the joy was preceded by some serious gurning which made the smile even better
Watching the challenge of bass lines to songs like Hyperventilate and Heartstrings close up, I think the odd bit of gurning was quite understandable.  :o

Also pretty special to see Nathan doing all the synth bass bits throughout on 'Raging' too on his little keyboard - including all the widdly pitch bend bits. I never realised he was such an accomplished keys player.

If I was more talented
If I could play better,
If I had the imagination,
If I had less distractions
If I was more driven
If I had better gear
If I didn't have a day job
If I didn't have to make stupid excuses...

....I'd write music just like Falling Satellites  ;D

Absolutely LOVE it.

Hi jt57. ... jt57 sounds like a Variax guitar. But that is neither here nor there. :) Hi there sir. Welcome to t'forum. I found Million Town about 4 years ago and was similarly blown. :) To me Falling Satellites is very nearly almost up there with Million Town in it's brilliance. I'll be at Bilston, so maybe I'll bump in to you. I'm blind, so that literally might be the case. Lol
And I don't think Pete will mind me saying that he's a strapping lad too in the vertical department, so if he bumps into you, you'll bloody know about it.
Well, if he does mind, I'm in serious doo-doo  ;-)

Ahmm.

Excuse the interruption. But I happen to have tickets to Bilston. Will any of the "old crowd" be in attendence?

Quietly slips away for another 5 years.........

Not sure I appreciate being called old, but I too have a ticket for Bilston.

DueyC, I think the Shedster means 'mature' :D. So that counts me out seeing as I'm immature.
Nonetheless I shall be there at Bilston with my Mothy chum Pete Jones. Look forward to seeing you all, I really, really cant wait :-)

Just purchased, and looking forward to it very much indeed!

Thanks Geetar - hope you enjoy!
We're all in rehearsal mode now for the upcoming gigs later in the year (both Tiger Moth Tales and Red Bazar) and we had our first proper rehearsal last night with Pete Jones. Had goosepimples at how good it sounded! :-)

Really is good isn't it - very clever post-production and love the bit where it goes from monochrome to colour. Very impressed!

I wonder how that felt to play in front of a threatening crowd made of Santas.

I can tell you that the vibe that night was pure love. Pure love!
I wanted to get 300 Jem masks but they wouldn't let me, hence the Santas :-)
Now that WOULD have been a sight to behold!

How weird! And thank fully I found that 'strumming your ukelele' wsn't a euphamism, when you started....err....strumming! ;)

Gigs / Red Bazar Gigs
April 13, 2016, 11:43:44 AM
Hi Frost*ingtons!
Just a quick heads up to say that Red Bazar have been asked to play Danfest6 in Leicester this year. It goes without saying we are massively honoured to be asked and totally up for it! We are second act on Friday December 2nd, after Midnight Sun and before the headliners Credo. Full details are on Facebook, so we hope you can join us!

Also, more lovely gig news to be added shortly :-)

Gigs / Re: Dave Kerzner Band/District 97/Oktopus
April 12, 2016, 04:06:11 PM
Bit of a late reply to my own reply, but I can confirm the gig at the Musician in Leicester was blooming marvellous. I got there halfway through Oktopus' set but were impressed once they had fully got into their 8 tentacled stride.
Dave Kersner was really good and had the lions share of the audience, but suffered from a few PA issues. Not the least was Durga McBroom singing Floyd's Great Gig in the Sky with, shall we say, inappropriate levels of reverb on her vocals. Painfully loud and destroyed eardrums ensued.
District 97 were, I though,t flippin' amazing, and they seemed to have a lot of fun playing some really intricate riff-based prog. Shame half the audience had left by that time, but to my ears (although bleeding by that time) they missed a treat.
