Re: sending the blog link to the company, I'm no expert on such things...but is it possible to knacker one's own case by doing such things? Is there a point where genuine whistle-blowing becomes a "smear campaign" or whatever?

With Pedro on this. My experience of modern companies is regardless of their policies and the shite that comes out of their mouths staff are lower than the lowest and are to be shat on and forced into their place at every opportunity. The less they know of your plans the less prepared they will be. They will undoubtedly use anything against you they can in an effort to discredit you or diminish your case. I would be inclined to give them as little info up front as you possibly can.

I might jump in too quickly with some of the forum posts, but I try and look at things from every angle, and probably over analyse, when it comes to my current strategies.

Mikey, are UPS treating these as informal chats or as formal disciplinary hearings because if the latter and you wern't told you were allowed representation UPS would be breaking the law (again) and almost certainly their own policies.

They sound like many other "Modern", "Forward Thinking" companys that claim such things as  "Job Security with Integrity" and the like. All I hear when I read these descriptions is things like "Crooks", "Liars", "Dishonest Scumbags". Sad really......

But generally true, the Manager hearing my first grievance basicaly said it's OK to ignore integity issues as it happens in other Companies and MP's fiddle their expenses.

They've (or rather he, as it's Roger) had a week to reply, and to quote Jem's blog today, silence is golden. Co-incidently the title of an e-mail I sent to one of the aforementioned bosses. Just drafting out my next challenge, as it were, thought of a couple more issues. As Jem also says, I'm not really bothered about how many readers I've got, it just helps me get things in print as a reminder to me. It's nice to get the support though.

Union seems to have gone a bit quiet, so might need some different backup.

Have had Frost-All response to an e-mail I sent on Tuesday, (the silence has again been deafening, which may be a good sign as they have no defence) so have been doing a bit of collating from my grievances this morning. Give Roger a few more questions to answer.

Thanks for your support, & nothing wrong with being busy. Which reminds me I've a cupboard to demolish, not just one of those 'made for idiots' ones either, a built in one from 70/80 years ago.....it's pretty solid
