According to one of my friends, biscuits are so named because they are cooked twice, bis meaning 'twice' and coquere meaning 'to cook'. Since biscuits are only cooked once these days, it would appear that biscuits are no longer really so! That is my cookie trivia for today. just thought you might want to know.
