How much Steinway ended up on EIMA?

Aside from that little bit in "Falling Down," my ears haven't zeroed in on anything that sounds like a miked piano.  Did you record matching Steinway and synth lines and blend them?

I had always meant to ask about this but I forgot... the demo version of Wonderland and the post-steinway version (or so I thought, since the demo came quite earlier than that frost report) have the exact same piano parts if I remember right.

There's a fair bit on Saline. In the end Wonderland stayed pretty much as it was, the M3 piano just seemed to sit better in the mix. And at the end of the day, the mix is all I care about.

EIMA was mainly Synthogy's Ivory with a bit of Steiny in the middle.

Either way, I had a great day out playing it. :D

After playing piano and synth for 25 years, you develop an ear for these kinds of things.  You don't have to be a penis, but it helps.

I'm not sure obv but in my head You/I was written quite late on, after the piano tracks had been recorded. Jem can say that better than me but I'm sure it was.

And the piano on the whole album sounds amazing  :D

you forget that in this day and age we've eliminated the need for real
I've seen paupers as kings,
puppets on strings
dance for the children who stare
you must have seen them everywhere
