surely everyone of my generation's first encounter with complex time signatures was having Tubular Bells played in music and movement classes at primary school?

(Francis Monkman's sequencer lines on Sky 1 was I think the first time I noticed something was up.)
I was a victim of goose-flirting the other day.
This bleeding great goose came up to me and wanted a light.
I said no.
Goose, there\'ll be no flirting today.

Huh, some of us didn't go to such trendy modern primary schools as you obviously did! The musical highlight of our week was the Friday lunchtime school disco in the school hall with the curtains drawn, where we danced to Gary Glitter and Suzi Quattro and Slade and The Sweet and I was much taller than all the boys so no-one wanted to dance with me.

If it's any consolation, I was much taller than all the boys and nobody wanted to dance with me either.
