  • Mouse is, in fact, a weremouse. He chose to take on human form for the gig, presumably for his own safety.
  Yes, I forgot to mention that. Actually, maybe I should've changed - then I might've been able to see most of the stage!  8-)

And about the queue - now you know why I left the pub a bit early! Good Lord, I had no clue Prog was still popular!

Hi all, just wanted to add my tuppence worth. Fantastic gig.....being a DT fan since the early days of WDADU watching them up close and personal in the Cathouse in Glasgow with about 25 people in the audience and Charlie Dominici on vox (good times)....this was my FIRST Frost* gig and guys, you did us proud. Great sound and the band just seemed to have a blast!! As a bass player myself hats off to Nathan King for some great playing :-) Was sad not to see JJ playing (would've been my first time) but hey, can't have it all eh?

Dream Theater were great, can MP's kit get any BIGGER ????!!!! As Ecosse said where we both were the bass sound just seemed overpowering in places but all-in-all, apart from some incredibly tall DT fans...I thoroughly enjoyed the gig. Great set, nice to hear some Change of Seasons again....great medley encore.

Big thanks to Ecosse for doing the driving and what a nice guy too! Him and his gigbuddy were very welcoming towards me as we'd never met until he picked me up at my house - there are still some jolly nice folk in this world (and on this forum). Great to be a Frostie* :-)

Here're some photos of Frost*...

...and a few Frost*ies!  :)

Here, we have Ecosse, Brodie, RacingHippo and biskitbass in O'Neil's before the gig. I really should've had one of those burgers too, I was starving! I've uploaded a truck load of Dream Theater photos with some more Frost* ones to Facebook here.

Bloody hell Mouse - those photos on Facebook are stunning. Really captured the event from a closer perspective to my viewing position on the balcony. Thanks so much!

Top night ... queue was insane,  so went for pint instead, met up with Beano and his pals (Stuart), returned to find we'd missed the start, luckily for me, even those who stayed in the queue didnt make it inside in time for the start.

The band played really well, best front of house sound I've heard for Frost .. the crowd were very receptive, with many favourable comments coming from DT fans around me. Jem in particular looked like he was having fun, and Mr Mitchel was on fire .. I'll never get trired of BLM and THAT solo ! The EIMA songs are sounding great live now that the band have played them more. All in all, great fun, shame it wasnt 20 mins longer.

Moved to the back to continue drinking with Beano and Racing Hippo, the sticky floor making movement from the bar area difficult. Dec (nice shirt), Jem, JM and Nathan came out for a chat .. which was nice .. however those American Roadies had been upsetting JM somewhat !

DT were ... precise, technically brilliant musicians, but it was all a bit too widdly widdly for me .. as I said to Beano, I felt like a non believer at a religious meet. SO drink I did .. and a marvellous night out in Leeds I had.

The drive home the following morning was to the sounds of the Rosfest CD ... which I can highly recommend.
... it was like watching a peach jelly f##k a steel drum ..

Cheers mate! If we'd have been any closer, we would have been killed to death by some very mad DT fans. There was a guy in front of us who looked like he was ready to sacrifice a small goat to the god of Blood and Metal.

I've also written a fairly detailed report on my B.L.O.G. (Blathering Loudly On, Generally) which features Frost*'s set. I'll get around to covering DT in the next couple of days.

What's with Mike always dying his beard different colors? Is it purple now?

And Jem what's with this tie? You're a spiffy man.
