Oh, you're so sweet, Nells  ;)

Now, what is this Twitter thing you young ones are on about anyway? Descriptions / answers in haiku form, if you please ...

Indeed, we should start a haiku thread in parallel to the wildly successful limerick one. Anyone game?

Egads. There truly is nothing new under the sun, is there, at least not on this forum (and I appreciate the recursion, Pedro  :) ) What the hell was I doing in March/April that I didn't see that one?

Errr, so how about a thread where we write a Goon Show sketch collaboratively? Then again, that pretty much sums up the way the forum reads much of the time anyway ...  :D

Much like it is, only colder and crisper.
But if it was covered by snow it'd be quite muffled.

I dunno whether muffling Spike Milligan is a good idea: an unsung genius in my book  :D

Here are a couple of my favourite poems from his "Silly Verse for Kids", from memory over a 35+ year baseline:

String

String is a very important thing
Rope is thicker
But string is quicker

Mary Pugh

Mary Pugh was only two
When she went out of doors.
She went up standing up, she did,
But came back on all fours.
The moral of this story is,
Please meditate and pause:
"Never send a baby out with loosely waisted drawers."
