Hi Jem / Guys

Why dont we all pay for our Live CD up front, giving Jem the money to produce it rather than waiting for the troubled inside out

gr8gonzo

I'm all for paying up front for any of Jem's future music projects.  In this case, it's a question of whether or not Inside Out has already contractually made their claim to the live album.

I would be more than happy to pay up front especially for the new live CD, as its got a really great title  8-) . seriously tough i think its a great idea.  :D

I was hoping we could get Frost*fest t-shirts like that as well...

grif

I'd be happy to pay in advance.

I'm not sure £60 will be enough :?  ;)
It's in the post!

I've mentioned this to Jem before, and as Nellie has pointed out, whilst the intention is good we are sadly probably too few in numbers to make such a venture a viable one. Mariallion can count on several thousand fans putting up cash for the albums but I doubt Frost* could guarantee the same sort of subscription.

Jem certainly knows the industry well enough to have other options and has waxed lyrical at some length about the possibilities for Frost* v3 being a much more organic project and disrubuited outside of the old 'record deal' model.

One thing is that Jem knows that although we may be few in numbers, we are big in voice!!

Is there any chance Jem could give us a goal amount to fund the project and see just how much we can muster through purchases and donations?  We could have a telethon for Mad Jem Disease, maybe put a touching montage of Jem's symptoms up on YouTube, put a call in to Tunnocks to see if they'll sponsor him...

Jem

 We may not number thousands, but we make the same amount of noise! :D

Actually, the eBay auction will be designed to try and raise a bit of dosh to get the live album finished. I can't divulge what I know about the whole deal for legal reasons (literally!). Currently, TPE's not going to be released for a while and maybe not ever on IO so the Frostfest CD's would be a good interim bet for anybody who wants to hear at least some of the gig. It's all going in the pot so every little helps as somebody said once...

And the Frostfest CD is such good value - 45 minutes of live Frost for a fiver! 8-) Can't argue with that can you?

As ever, thank you so much for your enthusiasm, support and most of all, patience. It really is muchly appreciated.

The Frost*fest CD is indeed a splendid thing. I am enjoying mine hugely.

It's not the winning or even taking part. It's the arsing about that counts.
