Personally, I was hitting F5 (refresh) a lot....

It was like "the day the forum stood still" :)

I fear it might have been one of those much talked about but yet to be proved Reality Leaks, where people allegedly do really retro things like "go outside" or "do other things" such as actually phyically seeing people or visiting tangible locations.

Tis the season to be holly - day.

And there is the Cambs rock festival, some Frosties were definitely in attendance yesterday, Touchstone play today so expect possibly more quiet moments. On the forum that is.  ;)

I kept popping in but didn't have anything (non) sensical to say

I was at the Cambridge Rock, Beer and Mud Festival watching Tinyfish, DeeExpus, Manning and Solstice. What a great day! What a lovely idea to have a CRS stage!  :D

Am now agonising as to whether to go along tonight. On the plus side, Touchstone, Karnataka, Focus and Asia are playing on the main stage. On the negative side, the main stage timings were poor on Thursday night (things running about an hour late) and dreadful on Saturday night (things running about 2 hours late) so I'd probably end up missing Asia if I did go as Monday's my first day back at work after 2 weeks off and a late night beforehand would not be a great plan.

So, how was Solstice live? Did they play any material from their upcoming new album?

They suffered a bit from sound problems at the start, but I thought they were very good. It was the first time I had seen them, so all the music was new to me. I particularly liked the reggae jig that they played.

yay!

sounds like a fun day for everyone.  we're visiting my family in Iowa, as we return my boys to their mom's for the school year.  we've had a great time, but we're leaving today, so lots of heavy hearts.  I won't see my boys until Christmas.  :(

Time'll fly by, Rog. The past year for me went by in the blink of an eye.

Meanwhile, yesterday I was actually out and about seeing real people in a real place! Oh, the beauty of it all!

wow, that's rough, rog.  I hope you enjoyed your time with them.  from the looks of it, I'd say you made the most of your time together.  I'll see if can speed up Christmas for you.  Just a day ago I tried to strike a deal with Father Time...
...and I can feel the world is turning...turn around

We were at my brother's in Kingston, helping incinerate a load of dead things over a charcoal brazier. The kids jumped up and down a lot on a trampoline and much beer was consumed.

Trust you're all well, rog. The year will hopefully fly by, as has been said already.

I've been traveling out of town for my day job. I usually take the more serene open country roads
which I like better than the NYS Thruway, not as crazy. But lately even the trip is getting old
and I'm currently finding other routes to traverse central New York.  We've been getting hammered
with severe thunderstorms the past week as well so I've had to unplug everything.

I think I've stopped in here a few times but didn't see much going on.

BTW Father Time was the name of the very first prog song I ever played on in my very first
band I played on towards the end of my high school years. We shot a video but I'm not
brave enough to post it here from youtube! ;)
