Hello there!

Im about to record a little christmas song. It must be done this weekend. I have melodies and chords. But no lyrics at all. So please help me out! :)

Its pop/rock-ish. And it would also be awesome if someone here would like to help me sing it :) If you can record yourself at home that is.. :)

Cheers!

rogerg

*singing* Hello little kids! Did you know Santa Claus doesn't exist?
You talk
You think you own me
You miss the point completely
These things I do they\'re not for you
I\'m sick and I\'m tired
Leave me alone...

I think you are on to something there!

how about following it with;

/sings "Frosty the snowman is a fairy tale they say, He was made of snow but the children know, How he came to life one day"

This rhyming lark is easy :D
So many keyboards, so little time!

I'd be happy to provide lyrics, but I'm afraid hearing the music is crucial for me to do so.  Could you post the instrumental version when it's done?
...and I can feel the world is turning...turn around

It sounds just like Hyperventilate. Go!

Oh, don't get me started doing that.  I could rewrite the entire album.
...and I can feel the world is turning...turn around

Oh no
Christmas is coming
Bah humbug
Lots of things to buy
Presents to wrap
People to feed
No rest for this poor
Working mother
Especially because she's
Taking a whole weekend day off
Far too close to Christmas
Because she can't miss
Frost* at the Peel

I wrote a particularly twee Christmas song when I was 13, which had pensioners dabbing their eyes with handkerchiefs and all the PTA mums staring with approval.  We were asked to perform it round many a church Christmas concert.  I think they were a bit shocked when we returned the following year, having discovered Marilyn Manson and industrial rock, with long hair and ripped jeans.

The lyrics ran a little something like this... tissues/sick buckets (delete as appropriate) at the ready:

So, it's that special time of year
filled wit peace and Christmas cheer,
bright lights shining in the streets,
covered in the snow beneath my feet.

And the joy that can be found!
Love and happiness all arond.
Oh no, I don't mind the rain,
because it's Christmas time again.

I don't remember any other verses but the chorus was just 'merry christmas' repeated monotonously, and the middle had me breaking into whistling solo.  There were, of course, customary jingle bells.

I have a Christmas tune - and I say tune as it is an instrumental.  No words - make up your own, I'm cool with that.  If I can figure out how to make it available to all and sundry via a web site thingy, then I am open to being shot down in flames.  I can say that it is not 'Frostie' in any way but it has it's moments!

I'll see what i can I can do...flames, here we come..!!!
I play the right notes but not necessarily in the correct order

go for it. i'm always happy to throw words at things and see if they stick.
