I for one don't want to see the artwork in advance: I like surprises.

For the similar reasons, we declined the chance to be told the sex of our two kids before they were born ...  :D

I agree.  There aren't that many surprises in life when you get old(er).  I loved finding out when mine came out.

If it were me, I would keep all of the artwork under wraps EXCEPT the cover.
Getting the cover recognised is an important part of the promotion process, isn't it?

As for the baby gender thing, a colleague at work just had their 20 week scan and elected to know the gender....so they could find out if all the blue nursery gear they had already bought on EBay was staying or not!  :)

I was looking at the bookshelves at work today. To my astonishment, what should I see but a copy of The Philadelphia Experiment by Charles Berlitz and William Moore. The first British edition, published in 1979.

Oh no, Mooncat! So you've missed all the news!

OK, let me summarise...

The big news is that the DVD for TPE will be released as a *totally* new concept for Jem, where the songs are expressed mainly in silence, but through the medium of interpretive dance. God knows what he had to pay JM to pose in that pink tutu, but the stills from it in the blog were absolutely staggering. (But if I were Jem, I certainly wouldn't have worn that doublet with those tights.)

The music CD for TPE has been remixed with the addition of the Brighouse and Rastrick brass band and a Welsh male voice choir.

Jem is now following a seafood diet, where he eats nothing but fish and seaweed, and is finding it is playing havoc with his digestive system but is very good for musical inspiration.

Oh yes, and he's getting together with the It Bites lads plus a bunch of other reprobates for a charidee single for the Cockermouth flooding.

That's pretty much it, but, in case anyone gets all excited, I'm 99% sure that there is no video of the actual gig itself on the DVD.

You've got the CD with 70 mins of the gig, then the DVD has (all?) 100 mins of the gig as audio WAV files and a 45 minute video blog about making the gig.

Or something.

If it isn't too late, can I humbly request that the video content is full screen this time?
