Be aware that it is just a little bit sweary in two places...and Leon wasn't the main culprit()...no, Mostly Autumn pipped him for that too!    

While some/many will no doubt see it as a travesty that Jem didn't win either award he was nominated for, we must remember a number of things here and thus not get upset about it (please) :-

1) It is the CRS Awards - with all the elements of panto, eurovision and enthusiastic (if a little confused) voting that go with that.
2) Jem was nominated for 2 awards and very much in evidence on the night - we did him proud - no other band had more T-Shirts being worn by the crowd
3) Jem was not in Mostly Autumn
4) Tinyfish only took 3 years to produce their *second* album...so they are "new-ish"! ;)

Brilliant write up and a great video, captures the drama and excitement of the eurovision prog contest. I have a feeling Jem had insider information on the way the voting was going and we may be seeing him on stage with Mostly Autumn soon????

But you never know how 2011 will pan out, my god, we could never have imagined how it'd start. Maybe next years awards will see It Bites up for awards, Yes as best new band, and Widge back in IQ to win best Keyboards. And what about a best prog fan award?????

I would also suggest the best bass player award split into two categories.

1. Best Bass player not called John Jowitt
2. Best Bass player who might be called John Jowitt

JJ managed to win award despite not having long hair and a spray-on short skirt and thigh boots.  Maximum kudos to JJ!
