Addictive Drums just took themselves out of the race. Support guy just confirmed that Crash cymbals only have two articulations; crash and choke.
The TD12 triggers three; edge, choke and bow which makes it very playable.
Shame Superior Drummer 2.0 don't provide a demo....

Yes it is a shame..... but it's worth the money. You can tweak so much it hurts!

Hiya Ron!
How have you been? What news from GC?
Might there be a new track or two for The Dividing Line's 10th anniversary?

SD2.0 does appear to be the winner.
Having lived with it for so long, is there *anything* about it that you find annoying/frustrating?

The new GC will take a bit longer but no worries.
I'm working on another project also (Trance/Dance/Pop) with another singer to get that stuff out of my system. Still pooring out as we speak. It's fun.  :)

Maybe the fact that there's so much to tweak. It all has its purpose which is good but it's a bit to much sometimes. Then again, you can leave a lot of parameters alone if you want. Other then that.... it's bloody fantastic. The engine is 10 x better then the old DFHS one. Loading times are much faster also.

Ringo is more my level.

Lennon was once asked if Ringo was the best drummer in the world.

To which he replied: "He's not even the best drummer in The Beatles"
It's not the winning or even taking part. It's the arsing about that counts.

My cousin got a used ION drum kit made by Alesis as more of a budget level kit that
suppsoedly can work with Rock band. I was surprised to find that the brain of the kit
is actually an SR-16 drum machine with added trigger inputs and only a midi output.

it impressed me enough to want to buy one myself but I may just save and get
a used Roland kit or some Octopads or the Alesis midi pad thingy.

As someone who started out as a drummer in junior high school, one thing I can suggest
to try is to twirl a drumstick across your fingers, one hand at a time. I find that it helps
loosen things up. Take a minute in between and stretch a bit too. Also, get a practice pad
or use a single pad from your kit and practice a bit and get some finger control down.
I take a bit of a break for a couple of minutes and do it again and it works wonders.

I'm no 'pro' but I often find that this helps a lot and I will even do this before
I play guitar or bass, or keys.  Mind you I don't study sports medicine so a
disclaimer applies here ;) Be sure you do it in an open, spacey room and away
from people, pets, porcelain dolls, vases and other valuable items

Some chunky men arrived today and covered the new Cube in scaffolding. I think this is a good thing. Apparently another butch chap with great big oven gloves has forged a whole roof skellington out of steel to replace the aging wood one currently in situ that yet more chunky gentlemen are set to remove with a great flourish in the next 5 days.

Re - a name btw, we're all calling it The Cube, I keep calling it The Cube. It's The Cube innit? 8-)  :D

Mouse

Hurrah and jubilations for The (New) Cube!  :D

gr8gonzo

Ah, The Cube.  Be it a thing?  Or be it a state of mind?  The Canadians gave us "The Cube" motion picture many moons ago and one also had to wonder if the Rubik-esque torture chamber was a physical structure or entirely mental.  That said, it should be abundantly clear what the new studio should be called.  However, as Bernardo is already taken, I'm sure I have no idea.
...and I can feel the world is turning...turn around

It's in the post!

Trapezium Artist

Perhaps if it's bigger than the Old Cube and perhaps even seems larger on the inside than on the outside, it should be the Hypercube (with obvious references implied).

I've always been a big fan of tesseracts, myself:

I got punched in the tesseracts once, I could barely stand for half an hour after.
