Ah! Finally! Thanks you so much, Mr Rog! :)
You talk
You think you own me
You miss the point completely
These things I do they\'re not for you
I\'m sick and I\'m tired
Leave me alone...

Oh blimey, and there was me thinking I'd have to wait ages to get a listen! Off now immediately to grab the download.

Huzzah!

(By the way, Wilf, even if you're not amazing personally [!], your show certainly is: I haven't listened to anything else for weeks, trying to catch up on all of the podcasts. I just don't have a long enough commute though, so am getting further and further behind  :(

And as welcome an addition Huw is to your programmes, you can tell him that he's headed for a B in German unless he learns to pronounce RPWL properly ... Air Pay Vay Ell, lad ... ;) )

Ha, and he has the cheek to correct ME! There's going to be bother when I get home this evening...

Glad you're enjoying the show, Sir - and ultimately, a short commute is a good thing :)

Unless he's also a reader / contributor here, can I suggest that you wait for the next time he's on the show and an RPWL track comes up before you issue your correction "live"?

The other problem with the short commute and it being a prog show is that I often get to work or home halfway through a three-or-more-song set where I've thought "wow, that first one was great; I should listen out for the name of the band and track when Wilf reappears", but then you don't speak again until 12 hours later or even the following Monday ...  :(

I wish there was some way of encoding podcasts with a real-time tracklist that appears on the iPhone / iPod as the current track's playing. Anyone know if this is possible? A fallback would be to enhance the tracklist you already provide, Wilf, with timings, so I can note the current time and then look it up when I get to work / home. (I don't think you can make the tracklist visible on the iPod, is there?)

[Edit: hmm, a quick google reveals that you can add chapter markers to MP3 files. Question would be whether these can have labels which would show up in a player ... Will investigate ...

Back again: as of 2007, it was held to be better to use AAC as a format to allow chaptering and track labelling as I'm after above. Is that still the case? Any reason why The European Perspective couldn't be in AAC format rather than MP3, Wilf?]

160k mp3 is the format stipulated by DLBN. I suppose I could make two versions, but including all the chapter information into the AAC format is, I understand, a fairly onerous task if you don't have a Mac. And I don't :)

Thanks, Wilf: thought that might've been the case.

I certainly don't want to add to your load, but did spot a couple of Windows chaptering tools for AAC/MP4 files:

Might give Huw something to do as penance ...  ;)

(But you do need a Mac, by the way, you really do. Speaketh the Apple shareholder  :) )

RWA

Just downloaded the legendary show. Will listen to it during my night shift.  :)

Show no 333. Does that mean in 10 years we'll have show number 666?!

Can't really afford it - and as my entire dayjob career has been geared around PC support I've sort of got used to them. One day, maybe...

Drarok

I think Jem has finally lost his already tenuous grip on reality with this new track - just coming to the end of my 1st listen and it's utterly bonkers! Burning a copy onto CD for my morning commute, hopefully it won't be too distracting! ;)

Dun duh dun, dun duh dun DUN DUH DUN (end).

RWA

oooooo wait a minute.....! It's not the RG episode. Nice one but doesn't hold the interview and song.  :?
I'm always a bit slow with this kinda stuff. But no worries.... I found them. Listening to it right now.

RWA

Hallelujah!!! what a kick ass track! Well done. Well done indeed sir!  8-)

Drarok

I've trimmed TDL out of the interview MP3 now and racked up a shocking number of listens, I can't get enough! :D

I'd just like to say that no 128 is rotating in the Frost*mobile at the moment and it's worth downloading and listening to.

It features LFE and his electronica playlist and for a short time can be downloaded here....
