Offer ends at the end of Feb.

I bought these over the weekend.  It cost like 15 quid.  Normally about $100.  Downloaded and installed it - The process is a bit arcane to say the least.  But it is insanely good for rock drums.  The Zep kit is nice, but I like the Slate Hybrid kit.

And what's nice is with very little faffing about I was getting a killer drum sound out of it.

Weekend after next I have organised a tracking session with my long-time drummer mate in a beautiful acoustic space... It will of course be gutting if I end up using Logic's drum replacement feature to use the Slate drums instead of the real thing, but somehow I suspect the Sennheiser/Rode/AKG/Shure stuff I have available won't quite match the stuff Mr Slate used.

I took the liberty of editing your link to make it work (it had a "%20" in it).

Interesting looking deal.
Of course, this had to appear just as I had bought Superior Drummer 2.0, didn't it? ;)

I can tell myself I don't need this........ but I'll check it out anyway!  :|

Thanks for the heads up man!

1 copy of SSD EX purchased and downloading  :D

Literally a couple of minutes for the passcode.  The subject title is: Steven Slate Drums EX No Brainer 2nd Confirmation w/Passcode if that's of any help! It looks very similar to the order conf email.

Think it's going to take some time to download!!

How ironic I see this thread as I got this last week and finally just got it installed a few minutes ago.
I already have EZ Drummer w/ Nashville expansion and I wouldn't have bothered getting SSD
but at $20 USD it IS a no brainer!

I will say be prepared for a few long download times. Here on my broadband connection
it took about 2 hours and 45 minutes total to download everything. It's really best to do them
one at a time as it says on their site. They have A LOT of folks buying at this deal and they
had to expand their server space because they got slammed hard. but don't let any of this
discourage if you are considering. They are up and running and you can freely get the files
once they set you up with the serial no. and password to get in. It's actually quite easy.

I don't have time to mess around with it tonight but I will report back on how it is very soon.

I say just go for it! it's easy to sign up with Audiomidi.com and you'll have an account in minutes.
I've got the other No-Brainer deals and they are absolutely worth it!

For some reason my spam filter suddenly took it into it's little head to treat the 2nd confirmation with the passcode as spam - whereas it was happy with the first confirmation.

Sometimes I think my iMac toys with me.

The problem is that you think it's your iMac. Much like a cat, the iMac actually owns you, and thus treats you with a degree of disdain.

I know; I'm owned by a few Macs too  :D

It came through fine on my PC so I guess that proves the point!  ;)

Ah, but as any cat person will tell you, being owned by a cat is infinitely preferable to owning a dog, for reasons which simply cannot be explained if you're in the latter camp. Ditto the PC/Mac thing  :D

Gman

Ah, but what if (as in my case), you've owned both a dog and a cat?

It's funny...I know a few designers that will 'only work on Macs'. I've worked on both and they both have their funny little ways and pros and cons. I don't really care which I work on, as long as it (generally) behaves itself!

yes, but did you know that William Penn Gregory, Jr. (born December 14, 1949 in Galveston, Texas) is a former American football defensive lineman in the National Football League for the Dallas Cowboys and the Seattle Seahawks? He played college football at the University of Wisconsin and was drafted in the third round of the 1971 NFL Draft.
