One thing that is causing the discomfort is that there are no avatars beside the posts, just little question marks where the images should be. Anyone else have this problem? (I'm using Safari 4.0.5 on Mac OS X 10.6.2, if that's relevant).

Sorry, they were still in the box marked 'avatars' which the removal man just brought from the old house...

There I go, being rather busy and not having time to drop by, and then I come back and find someone's redecorated.

Errr ... I appear to have missed the boat on the re-boot of the forum, despite checking the front webpage most every day. I presume the forum reappeared at its own link earlier ...

Anyway, will take some time to get used to the new set-up; at the moment, I feel a little like I've been forcibly transitioned into a new body and world, borrowing a metaphor from Iain Banks' rather good book of the related name.

Spot on sire (although those in the know know that it's called an orbiter until it's mated to the external tank and SRBs, at which point it becomes a shuttle) ...  

And I can assure you that I was hugely, hugely chuffed to be within millimetres of Endeavour (actually, I tell a lie; the distance was zero when I had a spiritual moment touching the undercarriage) at the Orbiter Processing Facility at KSC. Pure schoolboy stuff ...
