If Jem thought the cost of getting broadband and a second line installed was bad, just check this story out:

WOW! So is this effecting just rural areas in the UK? I know out where I live, in the middle of no where, it took them 3 years before we could even get broadband internet. When we finally got it we payed almost 1k to have the wires run to our house and the filter boxes and so on.... but 56000 pounds...... Thats crazy!

Sadly there are plenty of pockets of the UK where there's very little mobile reception. I can't get Orange or O2 in my house for example, and I'm just in a conservation area in London. Am fairly sure Jem's got no mobile reception at his either...
I was a victim of goose-flirting the other day.
This bleeding great goose came up to me and wanted a light.
I said no.
Goose, there\'ll be no flirting today.

Reading my comment back it sounds as though it was directed at Jem, it wasn't it was the bloke in the article

And of course I was playing the uncaring ignorant fool....lol.

02 are usually the best for coverage, but that's going off the personal experience of an urbanite.
