by the power of greyskull!  my gob has well and truly been smacked,  loved the interview as well.   when are we going to see some gigs by seasick mitchell?

While listening to The Dividing Line I almost fell of my chair. Of course, I expected something very good and Frost*y as always, but it seems to get better every time while I thought that was impossible. Stunning track and the backwards singing thing (or however you call it) is really clever.
Oh, how I'm dying to listen to The Philadelphia Experiment in all it's glory...

Excellent work sir. I am once again very impressed.

You are all the loveliest people in the whole widest world.  :D

Thanks to everyone for being so kind about the choon. The backwards bit was written forwards, then reversed, learnt backwards, sung forwards backwards, reversed again so that the backwards stuff ran forwards, but sung backwards.

Does that make sense?

Jem

That bit took 3 days to do. But worth every minute for those 25 seconds.  :P

Mitchell said when he heard it that it might genuiniely be the first original idea in music for 20 years.

Ok, had a few listens to fully digest the enormity of this beast of a song and I can confirm my original feeling, it's just unquestionably the best bit of Frost* yet. Jem, you really are  a magician in your own field, I know that people will expect this sort of post on the bands own forum but it's absolute genius. The only bit I don't like is when it ends :) you know that quiet bit before it repeats again.

Yes, and explains how it still sounds strange when you play it backwards.

Not in the slightest    do it again only this time video yourself doing it ;)

During the first few listens, the term, "Wow! It's still going!" came to mind.

I've since graduated to, "Aww. It's over already?"

One needn't be a Frost* fan to recognize that's a beast of a song.
...and I can feel the world is turning...turn around

I bow down and worship you, you mad, mad, ingenius nutter!

I desrcibed my memory of the track to a friend yesterday as sounding like "if the world in Blade Runner had had an anarchic revolution". By God, I need to download the show, no matter how long it takes on my pathetic mobile broadband!

Lol I had/have the exact same feeling!

I have it! Only took ten minutes instead of the previous estimate of one hour and twenty. I believe that is, as they say, a win.

my ass is duly kicked by this tune.

Forget Neil Morse, I was thinking more Gentle Giant! And if you knew how much I adore Gentle Giant you'd know the compliment I'm paying when I say...they never had the balls to do it backwards either!

It continues to grow! It is a monster I tell you  :D

F***ing brilliant, sir! It's like the backwards bit in Toys but taken to the extreme, and then to the next extreme you see when you reach the first extreme. And then reversed  :D
