Not even slightly prog, but you have got to love the home-made cover-version ethic at work here which, along with the quirky video work, has a lot in common with the stylings of a certain friend of our acquaintance:

Worth typing Pomplamoose into the YouTube search engine too, as it turns up many other things they've done together, beyond their own channel.

And isn't she cute?  ;)

That's not just brilliant, but also great arrangements.

Ah, glad someone else liked their stuff, Bokkie. I sometimes wonder if some folk here are happy outside the prog genre, but I'm interested in a fairly broad range of stuff, and am always happy to find new things to tickle my eardrums.

Indeed, one regret I have about moving away from the UK is not listening to Late Junction on Radio 3 on my way home from work: I was led down many interesting paths from there.

Speaking of one path in particular, did anyone see Joanna Newsom on Later With Jools Holland last night? She's slightly nuts, but wonderfully so; I bought her Ys album after hearing her on Late Junction.

(I get UK TV and radio via Freesat, but never remember to record Late Junction to listen to offline ...)

Not JUST prog for me too. Several weeks i bumped into Wallis Bird on myspace somewhere and bought her album. And by pure coincidence she played on liberation Festival in Groningen the 5ft of may.

The internet is for me the perfect way to meet new music.

AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME

This is why I LOVE music and LOVE this forum - where else I would I get introduced to such a great band/artist which in reality has little to do with the 'host' artist (other than the sheer creativity and genius)

Nice one TA - now I just need to wait for them to get that global license....................

PS yes she is  ;)  ;)

They are good, aren't they, Mooncat? It's always great to find new stuff like this and for all that I perhaps made a disparaging remark about musical breadth earlier in this thread, actually most people hereabouts seem very broadly interested in all things musical.

That's why I like it round here too ...  ;)

(Actually, after writing this, I went back to their website and followed the links through to Jack Conte's own site with his own solo songs and music pieces: very good in their own regard and considerably less twee, if that were to get wearing  8-) )

I agree - I think one of the successes of our little community here is musical tolerance - which obviously eminates from our lord and master, after all it is he who brought us together yet is a one man example of musical diversity - Whole Again to the Dividing Line with the odd X Factor winner thrown into the mix.
 8-)
Long may it continue :)
