Almost forgot to mention. You / I has got to be the most amazing/most beautiful one minute song ever.

I LOVE Dear Dead Days, it is brilliant. The song structure is really well done, and the lyrics are powerful. My favorite track of the year no doubt.

I haven't even finished the album yet but Dear Dead FUCKING DAYS OHMYGOD

The mix, the dynamics the attention to detail in the vocals and instrumentation, every corner is filled in like...like... as if it were a pen drawing and it was coloured in to absolute perfection.

I'll report back after Toys though.

Hooray! Got in after a real crap day in the office to find my bag of Frost goodies patiently waiting for me. My good lady has immediately pinched the beanie hat but tonight I will be mostly sat in my new Frost T-shirt listening to the new album. Highly embaressing for my 12 year old son but it makes me happy. Favourite track still unknown but all previous recommendations noted. :)

What can I say?........

I keep hitting the replay button on 'Toys' ... pheeeeenominaaal - and I understand that Jem likes it as his most rounded and ''complete'' song.

As for other elements, I just cannot get over the powerful nature of 'Dear Dead Days' - I think I knew that same person as well!  But I am fairly confident that I wouldn't have expressed the anxiety in the same way!!

I am overwhelmed by the power of each of the pieces - and this is what I often look for in a collective work (vis '90125').  It's like walking through an art gallery and thinking you have seen the best exhibit but seeing something rather special around the next corner, but only having to go back and check whether you were right or wrong!! Ad infinitum.

There is so much to take in that it will take a couple of weeks of 3-4 plays per day for it all to sink in.  But I know when it will - once I can completely go through 2/3 tracks in my head when out with the furry creature (dog to everyone else), I've cracked it! - that's what happened with 'Milliontown' and I know it will be the same with EIMA.......

I do have one confession though - I've mucked about with the track order and have put EIMA at the end.  It is so brilliant that I want to savour the moment of it's arrival.  My version starts with 'Wonderland', then 'DDD' and 'FD'......

Jem - thanks.  It's luvvvvverrrrlyyy!!
I play the right notes but not necessarily in the correct order

Dear Dead Days, Falling Down, and Wonderland. The others are good pop-rock songs though, just not proggy enough to be my favourites ;P

It would have to be DDD atm, but the entire album is just amazing
"Actually ladies and gentlemen, we\'ve got a massive problem with one of the computers...bloody huge. It may even kill us!"

First listen to the opening tracks just blew me away. The high production values really add to the quality of the experience. Four down and five to go, so far all brilliant!

Still torn between DDD, Saline, Toys and Secret Song.

Secret Song doesn't come round as often which makes it a little more special. But that moment where everything fans out to Dec's "Deeeear Dead Daaaaaays" is bloody amazing and takes a fair bit of beating. Up there with Frankie's album version of 'Two Tribes' as a 'waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa' moment. (And the guitar change to staccato at the end of each line - beautifully done)
I was a victim of goose-flirting the other day.
This bleeding great goose came up to me and wanted a light.
I said no.
Goose, there\'ll be no flirting today.

Really can't make up my mind. DDD, just.
Love the 'Davros effect' 'Welcome to the family' bit.
Saline, just beautiful. Falling Down rocks and Toys rocks with knobs on. The whole album is a holiday in Goosebumpville.
Well done Jem and the boys.
Dr. Feelgood factor 10% milk...

I love it all, but if i had to pick (at the moment at least, it seems to change every listen)

You/I

Its just sublime, its a great little thing, but the actual sound of the thing. Its so pretty. Am I right in thinking thats Jem singing? Tingly stuff  :D

Pocket Sun used to be my favorite, along with Falling Down, but I over-listened them prior to the album's release so they were on the back-burner for a bit. Dear Dead Days was the instant favorite, but after more listening I started to like Welcome to Nowhere better. Right now they're pretty equal, along with Toys... and Falling Down is making a comeback and is in the lead right now. Wonderland and Secret Song are also amazing as well... EIMA pulling near the end (though it's still great) with Saline then You/I at the end (also great, but hey, rock comes first!)

SerFox

I've made up my mind.

Secret song.

Though I've named it 'Fading into the Deep',  possibly because I heard that lyric a lot over the report it was in, possibly because thats how I feel when I listen to the song, fading away, falling, especially with the ending chords.

Favourites already?

Dilemma, burned the album to a CD for the car, you've got 22 minutes spare.......what do you add to fill the space? You're allowed nominal space & no repeats
I used to have a signature
