..on my recording of TDL from the interview programme. The section that lasts about 2:50.

I CANNOT STOP F***ING PLAYING IT!!!

It positively bleeds Crimson and Vai (IMO!), but in a most glorious way. Not ripped-off, just, er, right.  :? Amazing vocals and harmonies. Guitar; menacing and tuneful in equal measure. Rumbling, rollling bass, and manic/subdued schizo drums.

Sorry, just had to say it.

Totally agreed - that was one of the sections which really jumped out at me when I first heard TDL. RAWK!   8-)
Come on, you\'re a lion!

Finished off nicely by Mr Boyes' knock-out solo...'tis a good section to highlight indeed.  :)

Seconded. J. Boyes's's's's solo is rather fab, as is that whole section.

'Tis a wondrous part, I completely agree, but as I think I've said elsewhere, this whole bloody track is some kind of miraculous manna from Somerset, and there are many, many parts that are equally ridiculously good.

Am very much looking forward to getting the CD and 5.1 versions of this, plus more in the same utterly bonkers vein later in the year ...  :D

I'm just going to have to listen to it again now, aren't I? ...

After about 2 weeks I played it twice on ym way home from work tonight. Absolutely brilliant farking stuff!

I can't get over the backwards vocals part.

Now there's an EP name if ever I saw one.
I was a victim of goose-flirting the other day.
This bleeding great goose came up to me and wanted a light.
I said no.
Goose, there\'ll be no flirting today.

Not precisely sure where Jem's new home is, but judging from the Unit 1, Banwell postal address from which my daughter's Esoteric T-shirt arrived today (thangewvermuch), it's possible that it's within the boundaries of the former county of Avon, the county that refuses to die.

Which'd immediately mean using employing a picture of this man for the EP cover:

It's not a privilege, it's a duty!

...I can't wait to see my uptight (new) neighbour's reaction when I receive and inaugurate TPE... Hoooeee! Is she in for a surprise.

Short background : I've lived here for over 6 years now, and no-one's ever uttered one word of discontent about my music, or the volume thereof, but this *£&*"^! decided, after only 6 days of living in this block, to tell me it was "UNACCEPTABLE!!!". She lives on the fourth floor, I live on the ground floor.  :|

...and yes, it was TDL that was playing at the time.

I don't know who that man is, but I can tell he doesn't like aliens.

When I used to live in my flat, whenever I'd hear (dreadful) commercial R'N'B coming through my room walls (I was dropped in a flat full of, *shudder*, Performing Arts students), I'd put on Tarkus. Loud. And Frost*, naturally...
