I was just thinking about what jem said in a recent blog, about wanting the next CD release to sell a lot more so it would secure the financial future of the band, and I thought how about using the frost reports to help bring in some cash, after all I'm sure they must take up a hell of a lot of time, so why not make a small charge to download them or maybe we could pay an annual fee of say a tenner then you would receive them automatically whenever jem produced them, or even the occasional track, I don't mean full blown ones just ones like thunder frog or a remix for example, I'm sure there are plenty of frosties who would be only too happy to give a little dosh if it helped frost to be around for years to come.

YouTube also has ad revenue programs. I think they apply once you have a certain amount of views on your channel/vids. Jem could choose to display a small ad under every video, which would bring in some cash as well.

I'm not entirely sure how exactly this works. I do know it exists though. Every bit helps right?

I think Jem already mentioned he's eligible to have ads on the videos but he chose not to

Yes. I don't think Jem is under any illusions about Prog being a source of actual income. However much we might think/hope that the world might wake up and realise how much they are missing out on. :)

Everyone has to have a hobby; good thing about Jem's is that we get to enjoy to the results  :D

Not that I'm averse to paying, not at all, but I agree with Pedro that this not exactly Jem's way of putting bread, butter, and caviar on the family table. All power to his elbow; it seems to free him from commercial concern in this regard at least, again, much to our musical benefit.

I totally agree with what your saying, jem obviously dose not earn anything at all from prog, and its great of him to give us all this frostie goodness for free, I just think if we can help by paying for what is essentially a very good product which in return helps prolong the life of the band everyone's a winner  ;)

I'll keep 'em free I think. I'm fortunate enough to have a parallel career to help subsidise this unhinged escapade and exposure is more important to me than revenue collection at this time. It's one of the reasons why I'm going to give 1976 away and a few other things over the coming year. Spreading the word is the aim of the game at the moment.

But thanks for thinking of me though mate. :D
