Hey out there!  Just bought myself a Fantom G7.... I've been learning how to use it; pretty easy to get the hang of.  One thing that still eludes me, however, is sampling.  And damn it all if the manual just made it harder for me to understand.

Sampling is one of the big reasons I got this thing.... so of course I'd like to know how to do it.  Is there any place I can learn how to use the sampling function of my Fantom, BESIDES the manual?  I need like a tutorial or something.  Thank you, SO much :)

Welcome to the board (and the keyboard)!

I have no clue, but someone will.
Have you tried the Roland support site or searching YouTube?

There are a couple of tutorial vids on Youtube:

and this one:

Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHFFngGOcIw
Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=diT-GPvMKNM

It is a beast isn't it?  Mine is a little over a week old and I'm still in the: "Oh that's cool" followed by... "How did I do that again?" mode

Thanks so much!!!!

Yeah, this thing is a monster.  It's kinda like being omnipotent.  You want something and it can do it.  My one complaint is that the "fresh-squeezed orange juice button" is too close to the button that changes the keyboard into a non-Euclidian shape.  I've gotten lost behind the fourth side of a triangle 3.67 too many times trying to get a cup of OJ...

If you were curious, the videos helped substantially.  Thank you so much for your help, Mark!
