 That's quite brilliant!
You talk
You think you own me
You miss the point completely
These things I do they\'re not for you
I\'m sick and I\'m tired
Leave me alone...

I don't think it's *really* that. I'm sorry if my amusing mishearing signature confused you...

 :D

On listening more closely, I hear 'My life wil be your prop-er-ty'.

I think you were on the right track first time ...

"Your life will be my proper tea!"
So many keyboards, so little time!

Yes, that's it! You cracked the secret message - it was Jem to his wife, put the kettle on dear!

Excellent. I bet we could redo the entire album in slightly misheard lyrics like that.

I still like ' But fig rolls, never far from the pain and the doubt...'

Quote from: "eponymous"I especially love the next line...

"A reindeer fights your sanity" ;)
I'm listening to it now and I heard that too!

:D I so know what you mean....but I'm enjoying the real words a bit too much at the moment.  :)

Speaking of which, what in the world are the lyrics for that bridge section of Saline? I hear

Find, Jeremi(ah)[?]
I wont be the good for nothing.

Drarok

The lyrics should be on the site... Now? I'm stuck on a number of parts, and that one in Saline has me stumped.

Pedro

Well, when I say I'm enjoying the real words....I have no clue what many of them are yet. :)

For that bit, I mostly hear :- #"Fine, chill in mine but on the last pass it sounds a bit more like :- #"Fine, chilled in mind".

....but with my recent track record at deciphering lyrics I'm probably way off....

It is a stunningly beautiful track though and Sir Dec of Burke should be highly commended for his contribution.

Might we see JM on the fiddle at The Peel? (as it were)  :)

Philadelphia

Indeed! That build-up at about 3:45 to 4:00 is just beyond stunning. Gets me every time, I just close my eyes and take it all in, and when the violin bit starts... Currently my favourite track again, even if my favourite song seems to shift every six hours or so. (:-P

I'm still getting the neck-hair-thing at 2:47 in on Falling Down with the reloading of the pump-action guitar and then again at 3:04 with the tambourine build up.
I can only imagine the sheer joy of recording that tambourine part - impossible to do without smiling I expect!  :D
