Hey everyone!

Just wanted to take a quick moment to plug the release of my band's self-produced, first EP. Considering we were on a budget of roughly 250 euro's, I think we did okay. :)

The music is mainly rock, with hints of other genres thrown about. I like to think we have a bit of our own style. It's hard for me to compare it directly to other bands.

Anyways, we're on http://www.stroave.com. For a more direct listening/download link, go to http://stroave.bandcamp.com

Any comments are much appreciated. Thanks!

Nice job! The production sounds quite good. I wouldn't have thought you'd done it on such a small budget.

"All Things" stood out. Good energy, rocking guitars, an up front vocal and harmonies. Can't miss the Police influence, though I thought I detected a bit of Michael Hutchence in Tim's singing style. Not that he sounds like him, but more in the phrasing.

Well done!

Thank you very much gonzo! :D

I had to mix it all on my PC, because we couldn't afford any fancy professional mixers or anything. It was my first time mixing live recordings, so it took me a while to get the hang of it. Learned a lot from it though. I'll probably do better next time, if I ever choose to take on such a project again.

Michael Hutchence, hm never heard that comparison before. But I do agree with you. There's some resemblance in there. All Things is my favorite as well. First song we wrote together in the new line-up. We've been playing together since last winter, so we still have a long way to go. But I'm quite satisfied at the pace we're going now. :)

Thanks for the input! It's very valuable to me.
