Hopefully there'll be some more of Mike's excellent piccies from this one.

Here's a link to an early YouTube - including the huge widdle-fest ending and Jem's name-check....

Pedders, the thought of a widdle-fest is oddly disturbing... (the sort of thing that comes at the end of a beer festival, perhaps?)

Pedro

Quite....but I shied away from using the correct term for the process! ;o)
I've not seen much Satch stuff but hunting for Jem clips has revealed a fair amount of "song ends on a big widdly chord, crowd goes wild, band waits for a bit and then hits another big chord ending (with much more widdlery) while the crowd continue to go wild". Don't see that much on this side of the pond.

You're right actually - I began to feel a bit sorry for Jem and the other guys in the band at the end of songs, holding down the same chord for a couple of minutes while Joe 'widdled' on.  ;)

It's interesting looking at the Glasgow YouTube clips as a) the sound mix at the back (where most of the clips were shot) seems to be very different to the front where I was, as I could actually hear everything Jem did very clearly - maybe I was getting the monitors, on-stage amps, etc, and b) the choice of songs were obviously biased towards showing off the talents of the main man, not the keyboard player!  I'm just waiting for a full version of Wind In The Trees to emerge...
Come on, you\'re a lion!

Satch sounds like a dreadful widdler! Verging on the incontintent, one might say.

But, to be fair, if I could play like him, I'd take every opportunity to have a good widdle in front of my adoring fans as well.

It was a great gig, Jem  did a fantastic job I'm well proud of him :D

I've added my photos to the previous thread

That was kind of my view too only from the opposite side of the stage
