I featured a few tracks from Randy McStine's Lo-Fi Resistance on the Experiments in Mass Appeal progcast this week. It's primarily rock with bits of pop and prog. Spock's Beard's Nick D'Virgilio played drums on over half the album, called "A Deep Breath," and provided vocals on one song. He also mixed the album. Dave Meros of Spock's also played on one track and dUg Pinnick of King's X sings on a song, as well. Randy McStine is a very impressive guitarist... and just 22. He's not new, though. He put out a few rock guitar instrumental CDs while still a teenager.

And here's a video of Nick and Randy performing an acoustic version of Spock's Beard's "The Doorway""

Yep, very nice album! Guess it will end up in my Top 10 this year.  :D
