Oh, and if it's even remotely possible, it would be more than brilliant if the big banana could make it to the Christmas gig. Even better if the tour is completed by then, so Jem can be presented with the "massive peel" at The Peel.

Perhaps the UK sequence could be amended so that those unable to attend the gig get the banana* first, and if necessary the rest can sign it on the day.

That would be a reasonable compromise...but I think people might be hoping to still get their photo opportunity with it as part of the tour so let's still try to keep it moving and not hang on to it for any longer than really necessary?

Yes, I wouldn't want anyone to miss out on having quality time with the banana as part of their planned tour stop. Whether the tour is over or not, though, it would be great if it could be at the gig.
