I finally got the DVD yesterday. Interesting to hear poor Ray Wilson referred to as "the other guy" and how he couldn't hit any high notes.

All in all though, although I've seen the doc before, the little nuggets available around many of the songs were very entertaining and interesting.

Phil doesn't seem to be a very happy human anymore though. Shame.

Yeah I heard the rumor that Phil was having "suicidal thoughts" and thought it was another cruel lie or joke
someone decided to post on the internet. Then I read the rolling stone article and it kind of put things into
perspective. I hope things turn around for him.

The DVD is great though and I think I might just pop it in and watch it right now.

It's a shame that Phil Collins seems to be in an unhappy place, by contrast Tony Banks comes across as a happy chappy, he and Phil almost swapping places on the personality front. I saw Ray Wilson on the CAS tour and thought he did a good job in a difficult situation. I think that this might be the last we see of Genesis, maybe we will have to make do with the new Mike and the Mechanics album and tour with Andrew Roachford.

I enjoyed the Twickenham show, but honestly I've tried to watch this DVD a couple of times and I can't get past the slowed tempos, lowered keys, tame drumming- I always end up putting on the Way We Walk DVD instead which ostensibly has a less good setlist but they were all still regularly playing at that point and they're still on fire.

Shame!

Yes a thousand times yes!!

The drumming in the Old Medley and Fading Lights are breathtaking, however WIR's lower keys make it easier for me to sing along!  :D
