Quote from: "Philadelphia"Do I need to see someone about this or is it a natural, post-album-release reaction?
Don't worry, you are as normal as the rest of us.... ;)

I'm not sure that's giving me any comfort... But then, it's always nice to be part of the group, isn't it? (;-)

The morse code that's solved already, is that de morse code at the beginning of the song? There's also a morse code from 4:19 until 4:28. Is it an other message? :)

EDIT: Nah, it's exactly the same code ... :(

So there's an EIMA secret message - "I buried Andy."
Now we hear that he is leaving the Frost* live unit.

And... I remember Jem posting a number of before and after shots of his garden view from t'Cube a while ago...  :!:

Co-incidence?  My famous conspiracy theorising is going into overdrive.  Is TBE already 'under the sod' as we say in these parts?  Done in by a sudden bi-polar manic knife attack from one of the UK's foremost writer/producer/musicians while under massive pressure to deliver a killer prog album?

Those of you attending the Peel gig have a damn good look and make sure it isn't Chris Maitland in a TBE mask!

With regard the noises at the start of the secret song, with work being dreadfully slow I've been re reading a lot of The View From The Cube and found this explanation from Jem posted on March 8th 2008:

Quote from: "Jem in the blog 08/03/2008"Anyway, so yes, terrible weather here so I wasted no time in recording the doom laden shipping forecast, editing it to buggery, sticking it through a wonderful plug-in called Speakerphone which I set to emulate a bad GSM mobile connection that's ever so slightly just going into a tunnel, timestretching it long using the "elastic audio" thing in ProTools, putting one side of the stereo file 10ms later than the left, reversing it and sticking it on the start of the Secret Song along with a a sample of crowd noise put through a bit crusher, compressed to hell and eq'd so that everything under 3k was banished into the ether.

Thats just what it sounds like too!

Its going to take a hell of a lot of reverse engineering to get it back though :D
So many keyboards, so little time!

I think you;re spot on. I had one of those "hearing something out of the corner of my ear" moments when listening to the track today, and swear I heard a snatch of a shipping forecast. When I turned my ears around... it had gone..!

Brilliant! Now any volunteer to reverse the process? The other day I "heard" numbers in that fragment, like "3, 8, 9, 9" or something. Maybe I was just wanting so desperately to hear something that my mind went nuts.

Welcome to the board, other.

Nice ambigram-avatar....illuminati-ng! (although I think you have it upside-down  ;) )
I made one for Mrs Pedro several years ago but I never thought to try it with Frost*. Good work! :)

In fact, you've made me try to re-create the one I did....

More examples of ambigrams (if anyone is interested) here

Thanks.  I was known as 'chiok' on the other forum and I went by several names when I was defacing Wikipedia for the cause.

I saw an image of 'frost' on the old forum that looked almost ambigramish that inspired me.  I think I went here to generate the ambigram and then I played with IrfanView to alter it up.

I was sad to lose the old avatar, which was some bloke from Big Brother that looked like Jem, but it was time.

Pedro

Well in that case, welcome back! :)
