Definitely good news. I think the hint is that his new music might still have the spirit of Frost*.

Jem's on a train and its doing all sorts of funny things to his head:

Quote from: "@JemGodfrey"D'ya know what? Having heard the PRR album today and now the Hybrid album, maybe prog is breaking out of its cliched ghetto and progressing

Let's not get too excited though eh chaps and ladygents, but its nice to hear that Jem is still excited by Prog sometimes. Right, time to check out that Hybrid album...

LOL I think he also said that the PRR album is what a third Frost* album might sound like. But as you say, I think whatever Jem does will probably have some genetic links to previous stuff - the 'genius' chromosome! :D

Whatever Jem comes up with next, it won't be Frost* in that it won't be him, Nath, JM and Blunders.
Beyond that... who knows?
It'll certainly be "progressive", but that could mean anything!
* May contain nuts.

Indeed... there's plenty of ActualProg about these days, along side the RetroProg... and there's nothing wrong with either, but I know what's always going to be more exciting to listen too (even if, some days, the retro side is more what you are in the mood for... :))

Also to be found running the website and merch sales at www.lifesignsmusic.co.uk

Maybe retroprog doesn't actually deserve that name of genre as it hasn't actually progressed (apart from the stuff that actually did).

Maybe it should be retrogressive rock. :D

Oh, DROOOOLLL  "HYBRID" ..........  Loving them lately....   If any one person on this planet can redefine a Genre, Sir Godfrey Can...  He Knows no rules, He Follows No trends, therefore, "now this is what I think"....  He felt somewhat Constrained having to adhere to the Label "name" that is Frost* and the songs Created with that Title..  Music In the Typewriting room, MITTR, Is deff. some of my Fav. Stuff of his.  Whatever he comes out with, I Hope he Lets us Know and even throws us a Bone Prior!!

I bought both the Enigma and PRR albums last night (just MP3s - Impatient), enjoying them both a great deal!

I can only reiterate what i said a bit back about "Prog" vs. "Progressive", and the fossil comment that I aimed at the more recalcitrant members of our (generally deservedly) esteemed circle.

There's plenty wrong with "Prog" in my books, and I wish Jem all the success in the world with whatever comes out of his talented head and hands, whatever his musical direction may be.

Agree with sentiments on Jem's next output.

As for the recalcitrant ones, I prefer to let sleeping Progs lie, if the dinosaurs want to keep munching the same old leaves and ignoring the lights in the sky, let them. :)
