Definitely want less shedding on the album .. I'm not a big fan of the sounds of small wooden huts being constructed !

Less shredding? Not gonna happen. Petrucci is playing as slow as he can.  :D

I love the technical stuff, that's one of the things that makes them different. Other prog bands do it, but nowhere near that level. IMO.

I thought it was OK enough. Petrucci's guitars are still the same - panned left and right and shoved in front of everything. Nice to hear no mention of "my very something" in the lyrics, though.  :)  I dunno. I think I just don't 'get' this style of music anymore.

And about the front cover... While I like the blue colour, it reminds me too much of the opening shot from Airplane!.  ;)
