Anyone else see last nite's Apprentice? The task was to come up with a new biscuit idea, make it and design all the packaging and then pitch it to 3 major supermarkets.

Read all about it here

and here

The question is... as we on this forum are probably the Web's most unofficial officianados of the humble biscuit... what would you come up with???
I am out of the office. Messages can be left with Mr. C Lyons on 020 7722 3333

I thought both the offerings were pretty poor.

Mind you, after extensive research and sampling, I have yet to find a better biscuit than the Sainsbury's in-store bakery white chocolate and raspberry cookies. They are sublime. Even better than black cherry Pims (which are like Jaffa cakes but with a black cherry bit rather than an orange-y bit, and white chocolate rather than dark chocolate.

But if I were to be forced to come up with my own biscuit... (scratches head thoughtfully)

Oreo-type biscuit (really dark chocolate-y and crisp biscuit bits, anyway), and not too sweet
Two of those sandwiched together with the white oreo-type cream which has bits of freeze-dried crushed strawberries and raspberries in it
Half of the biscuits in the pack to be dipped in white chocolate; half in dark chocolate.

What would I call them? Dunno. But I think the strapline on the packet should be something like "Too good to share".

"Othello"? :)

Chequers? "Our Chequers will make you chubby"?

I think two chocolate hobnobs sandwiched together with toffee/caramel cream. Works for me anyway :)

I have to start shopping at Sainsbo's.

White chocolate & raspberries are my two very favourite things in the world.
