Suddenly, Frost* aren't on Spotify.

Is this one of those things where a deal with a label fell through, or a deliberate move by Frost*, or just a problem I ought to be whining to Spotify about?

Pedro

Crikey, I have no idea. No doubt someone on here will know what's going on.

Welcome to the board, by the way. Tea?

Just had a cuppa thanks :->

And thank you!

Didn't InsideOut pull their music from Spotify or something? I think someone mentioned that some time ago, but I'm not sure. I rarely use it anymore.

Tadaaaa.

Shame, but you can kind of see their point, here is an example of how daft it all is:

I noticed that most of Frost*'s music is also on Grooveshark as an alternative if you don't have your CDs with you or whatever :)

What... :o  how could you not have any Frost*???
I used to have a signature

That doesn't seem daft to me at all.

They get the same amount via Spotify as they get via the CD if I listen to the album 100 times.

How many of you _haven't_ listened to Milliontown 100 times?

JakeWorrell

I guess if you buy the CD and then listen to it on Spotify over 1 hundred times it is a double win for the musicians.

Shame though, Milliontown is still out of print, isn't it? So in this case, it doesn't affect sales at all. So if it was still there, we could all have it on repeat 24/7, and that would buy Jem a pint a week.  :D

andrewducker

Well, Amazon have the MP3s for £6.50

Which can't work out to more than about £2 for the band.

Or about 50 listens on Spotify.

My Gawd!! That's a terrifying read.  :?

JakeWorrell

Just a bit!

"direct digital" is the way to go if you are allowed to choose that option by your label if you ask me. As I think you may have mentioned a couple of years back Jem :)

Gimme some high-quality MP3 or lossless any day over the shitty quality Spotify hands out to the masses, tbh.

I agree. I want my music to be portable too, I just wanna chuck the files into my iPod and listen when I'm out. Preferably WAV files, especially on very dynamic music like classical.

Mouse

Classical and orchestral stuff definitely deserves the highest quality possible, wherever you're listening to it.
