Oh, but the talky bits, whilst a bit on the quiet/echoey/you-need-closer-mics-Bert side, were VERY interesting!
This really is recommended listening.

Yep I concur, all very splendid despite the volume issues. Very interesting listening and some great music. Going to have to get the new album for xmas or something - sounds great!

Nonsense. It must be your ears...

Actually, it was the best I could do. I used a new field recorder and placed it incorrectly between Dec and I, which is why it has that odd stereo placement. And Dec is quiet and I;m a loud bugger, so i had to apply loads of EQ'g and compression to make it 1/2 way decent.

Plus there was some irritating background noise (not my questions, before you ask) which I had to EQ out.

I also made some huge errors pre-production, and ended up hand tweaking the volume levels, which is why they're a bit inconsistent. Sorry about that.

Anyway, it was quite difficult to make it listenable (you should hear the master), so I think I did quite a good job thank you very much  ;)

It's all a lot easier with Skype rather than live, let me tell you.

In all seriousness, I've received lots of feedback on this one, all positive so I'm glad people enjoyed it and more importantly, I know it generated some interest and sales for Dec, which was the idea partly. Dec took a smidgen of  persuasion, but it worked out brilliantly in the end. I guess he must have liked it as he gave me a credit on the album  :D

Normal production perfection will be resumed next episode. Currently lining up a very VERY special guest for the next one....Watch this space.
